This rural retreat is ideal for all the family.

This small domaine, approached by a 1/2 kilometer private drive, is surrounded by rolling hills and fields. The cottage has everything you require for a relaxing holiday being furnished to a very high standard. It is set within five acres of beautiful southerly facing gardens and having its own private area. There are three terraces, BBQ, boules, badminton court and outdoor table tennis. There is also a wild life pond and a labelled arboretum. The cottage sleeps 6/7 and the accommodation comprises - one double bedroom with king size bed: two double bedrooms with single beds (one with an outside balcony): ground floor fully tiled shower room: upstairs bathroom: very large drawing room: additional seating area: fully fitted kitchen. There is additional accommodation for a couple (eg: grand parents) who want that extra privacy just across the drive - see separate advert - Le Pigeonnier - 89719.

Perigord Vert the most unspoilt part of the Dordogne and is a country life and painters' paradise. Many artists live in the area and art lessons can be arranged. Verteillac, is the nearest small town and amenities include - bank, chemist, post office, two restaurants, three bars, hair dressers, bakers, butchers, doctor's surgery & boasts the 'best general store' in the Dordogne - a 'Pandora's Box' selling everything from groceries to furniture! There is a weekly market on Saturday. The area has many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants. There is a lovely sandy riverside beach within easy reach of the domaine and many other activities - medieval towns such as Aubeterre, Brantome and Bordeilles, Romaneque Churches, prehistoric caves and further afield the wine regions of Bergerac, St Emillion and Bordeaux (within one to one and a half hours drive). There is an English church eight kilometres away with weekly services and visitors are always welcome.
