Other local leisure and additional info.: Moraira enjoys a typical subtropical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature exceeds 20°. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination. If you like open markets, then apart from the weekly Friday market held next to the beach, you could plan a visit to the various markets held at nearby resorts. You can buy fresh fruit, local specialities, leather goods, clothes, rugs, souvenirs, pottery and a whole variety of other goods. Car hire is recommended since there is little public transport, and although Villa Casa Jayasri is only 500 metres from the beach you will need a car for sight-seeing etc. We can book a car to be waiting for you at the airport or arrange taxis or the owners will also pick you up from the airport at a reduced cost.

Local Information: Moraira lies in a bay, on the South Eastern coast of Spain, between the larger resorts of Javea and Calpe, 1 hour from Alicante airport and 1½ hours from Valencia Airport with excellent motorway and coastal roads from both. The town has pleasantly grown from a small fishing village to an attractive holiday resort retaining it’s considerable charm that attracts visitors from all over Europe. The valley of Moraira has no towering hotels and apartment blocks, due to strict planning controls, and the luscious green countryside is just dotted with whitewashed independent luxury villas mingling with pine woods and cultivated wine terraces and orange groves. This provides an idyllic setting for those wanting total peace and privacy. The area remains exclusively for villa owners and individuals who prefer and enjoy an independent holiday.

Villa Description: The entrance, which overlooks the front garden and BBQ terrace, opens into the living room with Sat/TV with BBC and ITV, Video, (GermanTV available) Hi/Fi. easy chairs and a bar area with fridge and sink unit. The master bedroom with en-suite shower room leads off from the lounge and has it’s own terrace overlooking the pool. Two twinned bedded rooms and a shower room lead off the hallway, which then opens ut, into a large comfortable sitting / dining room. This is joined to a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The sitting room area opens to a pleasant sun-reading room which enjoys views over the front terraces. The garden is attractively tiled and terraced, leading down to a secluded 10 x 5 m swimming pool (depth 1’00 to 2’00) and a small lawned area with lemon and orange trees. Off the pool lies an outside shower cubicle and on the same level there is a laundry room with washing machine. Ample tables, chairs, parasols and sunbeds etc.

A truly beautiful, clean and well-maintained villa with everything that is required to make your holiday perfect. We have just spent two glorious weeks here and have been really impressed with not only the spacious villa but the friendliness of the owners Roger and Carol. The large pool and all the various inflatables were a big hit with everyone as was the barbecue. One major advantage was the provision of beach towels and hairdryers.
The villa is ideally located near to Moraira and has easy access to a pebble cove 500 meters away ( the bar there is lovely for a drink but wouldn't recommend the food) and other beaches within walking distance. A Masymas supermarket is across the road and there are a wide variety of restaurants around. Our favourite was Sataris which is a 1 minute walk away.
We hired a car and visited Valencia (definately worth going to), Alicante (lots of graffiti imposing castle), Calpe (lovely beach and Il Fach Rock), Xtavia ( interesting place ) and Guadalest (the best day as the journey over the mountains is stunning and we stopped at a town called Tabena which has a quirky restaurant called El Pinet).
A good time had by all.

Ideal Relaxing Break

There were 9 adults in our party and a fantastic time was had by all. The villa was large enough to accommodate all of us and 3 bathrooms were ideal. The villa had everything you could possibly want: a fully stocked kitchen (better than my own!), lots of books, DVD's, CD's etc. There was a pleasant surprise at every turn.

We understood from the description that the villa was close to the beach and bars which is a little misleading. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to a nice sandy beach and there were a handful of bars within 10-15 minutes walking distance but the majority of bustle was in the town centre (20-30 mins walk away). One of our reasons for booking the villa is that everything would be close by and it was slightly further than anticipated.

The restaurants within 15 minutes walk either side of the villa were of a good quality and competitively priced. It was often cheaper to go out for dinner than self cater. There was a well stocked supermarket across the road so there was nothing we could not buy and it was relatively cheap too.

The owners of the villa were very friendly and accommodating but the only minor comment we would make is that they did not pre-arrange their visit to the villa for maintenance duties. We were sometimes caught on the hop whilst relaxing by the pool!

However I would book this villa again for a quiet relaxing holiday.
Owner's Response: Normally we only visit the villa twice a week to clean the pool, unfortuatly the giusts and ourselves got of to a bad start as they were a group of young and single people and forgot to keep the noise level down on the first night when they arrived (party around the pool area at 5am) we therefore had two complaints from other villa owners nearby early on Sunday morning, hence more visits to ensure everything was in order at the villa etc. However they we polite, friendly and left the villa clean and tidy on departure, we would have them back again if they come to Moraira. The center of Moraira is about 18 minutes walk but most of the popular bars etc are actually near our villa, nearest beach bar 10 minute walk.

Fantastic Villa and Pool

Really enjoyed this, our second stay, in this beautiful and well equipped villa. Our party consisted of eight (four adults and four children) and the size of the property and its surrounding patio's and pool area easily accommodated this number.
With exceptionally helpful and friendly owners keeping this place well maintained and equipped with all mod cons, you could be spending your time relaxing and reading a book from the well stocked library whilst sipping wine on the sun soaked patio. Alternatively (and particularly if you've got kids) you'll probably be splashing around in the wonderful pool (which is large enough to 'swim properly' in - unlike many). This will be inbetween taking in the magnificant views whilst on the short walk towards the town and the lovely sandy beach.
Everything is within easy walking distance so is ideal for those without the use of a vehicle (supermarket is 2min, main beach is 15min and town centre is 20min).
There are numerous and varied restaurants dotted around with a couple right on your door step and with the supermarket right there also, self-catering is easy if that's your preference.
Fully recommend a holiday in this villa.

Fantastic Villa

We have stayed in quite a few villas over the years in Moraira, but I can honestly say after our recent holiday, the Villa Jayasari has to be the best ever.
I wont re-iterate what the previous reviewers have stated apart from to agree with them, if you holiday in this superb property you will not be disappointed with the location, excellent facilities, cleanliness, and maintenance.

Like a fairy tale

wonderful house, new kitchen with modern equipment, new furniture, fully air-conditioned (also new), everything clean and well-maintained, enough chairs and tables all over the location, sunbeds for everyone,library (books and videos), description of DVD,TV(SAT), suggestions for recommended restaurants and shops, supermarket 200meters, sea-side cafe 400meters,..aso. But the very best were the owners: best customer service we ever had before! Beds were made,enough towels (quality like at home), the fridge was filled with "wellcome presents", when we had a wish it was fulfilled at once. Don´t tell too much people about this phantastic adress- you won´t get a spare place for your next holiday. Thank you very much! Peter and Barbara
