Getting there: The house is situated just outside Coreglia antelminelli 600m above sea level. When you arrive at Pisa airport there is a train that takes you to Lucca where you would change train to go to Ghivizzano where there is a bus service to Coreglia. Although a car is advised.

Local information: In Coreglia Antelminelli three restaurants two bars,post office chemist, mini market, and bank with cash machine. Around the end of July there is the fantastic medieval festival with a magnificent firework display at the end. Coreglia is extremely safe for children with tennis courts and a football pitch.

Places to visit: The region is dotted with small hilltowns and villages many still with medieval fortifications wholly or partially intact. There is the spectacular nature reserve, the Orrido di botri a short drive away and the Grotta del vento (the Cave of the Winds) is nearby. Also there is Barga and Castelnuovo.
