This small domain, approached by a 1/2 kilometre drive, is surrounded by rolling hills and fields. Le Pigeonnier has everything you require for a relaxing holiday being furnished to the highest standard. It has a pretty secluded garden over looking countryside and a west facing terrace which is perfect for watching the sun go down while having evening drinks or dinner. There is also a BBQ in the garden. The layout of Le Pigeonnier is on two floors - the sitting room, bedroom and ensuite bathroom are on the ground floor: kitchen and south facing balcony on the next with an additional room at the top suitable for study, writing, reading or simply getting away from it all! There is also a double sofa bed which can be used occasionally for an additional nightly charge.

Perigord Vert is the most unspoilt part of the Dordogne and is a country life and painters' paradise. Many artists live in the area and art lessons can be arranged. Verteillac is the nearest small town and amenities include - bank, chemist, post office, hair dressers, boulangerie, boucherie, doctor's surgery, two restaurants, three bars, art gallery and boasts the best general store in the Dordogne - a Pandora's Box which sells almost everything from groceries to furniture! There is a weekly market on Saturday. The area has many excellent and reasonably prices restaurants. There is also a lovely sandy riverside beach with in easy reach of the domain. Medieval towns like Aubeterre, Brantome and Bordeilles, Romanesque Churches, prehistoric caves and further afield the wine regions of Bergerac, St Emillion and Bordeaux (within one to one & hours drive). There is also a friendly English church eight kilometres away with weekly services and visitors are always welcome.
