Crisalgo is situated in the village of Trevone one and a half miles from Padstow. Trevone has two fabulous beaches, a sandy beach for swimming and surfing and a rocky beach with hundreds of rock pools to explore for marine life at low tide. Trevone caters for visitors who enjoy the sea and countryside. It lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers delightful walks along the coastline and inland. We have a post office and general store, beach and surf shop and a farm shop. Padstow offers a wide range of shops and amenities including sailing, fishing trips and some excellent restaurants including Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurant and recently opened fish and chip shop on the quay.

Crisalgo is ideally placed to explore the rest of Cornwall. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within easy reach. Cornwall boasts a large number of gardens that are a joy to visit including Pencarrow and Lanhydrock near Bodmin and Trebah and Glendurgan gardens both close to Falmouth which also has the National Maritime Museum. Further afield are Lands End, the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, Geevor Tin Mine and the spectacular engine houses overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Botallack and much more!

Crisalgo - exceptional holiday home!

Crisalgo is a superbly comfortable holiday home. I have stayed there three times now and cannot recommend it highly enough. The tasteful blend of old and new furnishings gives the bungalow an air of quality. The kitchen area is spacious and well-equipped and the owner kindly provided several food items, including a delicious home-made lemon cake! The bathroom and bedrooms are aso of an excellent standard.
Although the location is quiet, it provides easy access to the North Cornwall area - and within a few minutes you can be walking along the cliffs or enjoying Trevone Bay.
I'm very much looking forward to staying at Crisalgo again sometime in the future.

Really nice bungalow situated in a great position to explore Padstow and the surrouding area.
Lovely family beach in Trevone with a stream trickling off the hill which provides great entertainment for the younger children, while the north coast waves provide for the body boarders / surfers.
Great walks on the coastal path - Harlyn bay & Padstow within easy reach.

Homely cottage 5 mins from beach

A group of 5 of us stayed in the cottage for New Year.

The owners provided excellent customer service, they rang to confirm the details, met us on arrival even though we were several hours later than planned and showed us round the property. They also left a number of stores for us including tea, coffee, milk, a home made cake (very nice) and a bottle of wine.

The bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single) were fairly small but the living areas were spacious and the whole property was very clean and tidy. The open plan kitchen/dining room lounge area is very sociable, much better than I was expecting from the photos on the website.

The property is a short walk from Trevone beach in a quiet area, 1 min walk to the nearest pub. You can see the sea from the lounge window (although partially obscured by the house opposite).

Our trip was to surf and there are several nearby beaches with good surf. Harlyn & Constantine being 5 mins drive away. There is also a nice coastal walk from the cottage to Harlyn.

We would definitely consider returning to the property and recommend it to others.
