This was our favorite place to stay in all of Portugal. Overlooking the beach, the terrace view will take your breath away, and it's open to all guests. We ate numerous homemade meals overlooking the ocean, and regretted not staying in Carvoeiro longer. The owners and staff speak English and were able to help us find a nearby place to try scuba diving.
There is a large common kitchen for all guests to use that has everything you will need (stove, fridge, mircowave, etc.)

We would recommend this place to everyone from people with looking for the best view to people looking for an inexpensive place to stay. You won't find a better spot to stay, and the city has unmatched charm.
