Self-catering accommodation, sleeps 5 in 3 separate areas, quiet part of Chatel

Situated in a quiet area of Chatel, 150 metres from the main Linga telecabine, this self-catering apartment is ideal for families or couples wanting easy access to the best skiing in the Chatel valley and to the huge Portes du Soleil ski area. Access to Chatel village is simple and quick using the free bus service that stops 50m away. Skis and boots can be left in the heated store or with the ski hire shops a short walk away at the foot of the slopes. It's well equipped, cosy and warm with views over the ski slopes from the sunny south facing balcony. The apartment will sleep 5 comfortably in 3 separate sleeping areas including 1 double bed, 1 double sofa bed and 2 full size singles (bunk beds). You'll find all you need - TV, DVD, CD/radio, for a relaxing evening in, or alternatively wander to one of the excellent local restaurants. Les Perthuis is also well placed for access to the many kilometers of waymarked walking trails making it an ideal summer and winter location.

Chatel is a traditional alpine village with all the charm of the Haute-Savoie region. Nestling at the head of the Drance valley close to the Swiss border the village manages to provide modern amenities for skiers, walkers and cyclists without losing any of it's wonderful traditional appearance. With a wide variety of restaurants and bars Chatel has something for all tastes and you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding things to do... ski all day on or off-piste in the Portes du Soleil system or check out some of the gentler family friendly pistes close to the apartment. For summer visitors, Chatel is an undiscovered treasure trove of walking trails and mountain paths. Fancy a gentle day? - then there's traditional Savoyard produce available from the farmers at one of the local markets or perhaps a trip to the 15th century abbey nearby. Access to villages on the Swiss side is easy over the Pas de Morgins bringing the high alps within 90 mins drive or lake Geneva in 30 mins.

The appartement was very clean ans as it said well equipped. Not big but with everything in it, warm and cosy and big enough for us (three adults). Ans with a lot of space to put all your stuff away.
We stored our ski's in the skishop near the telecabine so the 5 minutes walk was not a problem at all.
The ski-area was surprising and we will be coming back.

lovely apartment with stunning view and easy access to skiing.

stayed here for just about a month over xmas and new year and it was just perfect for 2 of us.

Simon made it very easy for us to rent the property.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers
