Luxury Loft Roma is placed right in the centre of everything: a recently restored penthouse, with a panoramic 360° view over the square underneath, the Gianicolo Hill (one of roman Seven Hills) and even the Lakes region countryside. The balcony is equipped with table and chairs to enjoy 'al fresco' breakfasts or evening meals, as the groceries and the fresh food market are only steps away. The apartment is comfortably furnished and fully equipped, with air conditioning, central heating, Jacuzzi and a fireplace for a warm atmosphere.

The style is trendy, with wooden beamed ceilings and parquet covered flooring, in accordance to the spirit of the district. It displays a living area on two levels, with large sofas, TV, CD and DVD, PlayStation, WI-FI adsl connection, HI-FI with wire broadcasting and air purifier. A cell phone can be rented. The kitchen, with french door to the furnished balcony, is thoroughly equipped: the table is an elegant bench with 4 stools. The guests will find dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, iron and iron board and a toaster. A daily cleaning service, as well as massages, can be booked through the owner, for extra charge. The main square of Testaccio district is just downstairs, full of life and well kept, with high trees. The bus stop is close and the Metro station just off the district. The area is also served all around by a cable bus, to reach the most important and historical sites of Rome, on both sides of the River Tiber.

This cosy apartment is located in the heart of the historical 1' district, close to Lungotevere, the Tiber River Bank, in an area that, together with Trastevere, on the other side of the bridge, best displays the lively roman lifestyle. During summertime, the river banks are crowded with young people enjoying the nightlife by the cheap kiosks, serving drinks, beer and all sort of food; all year round, however, bars, pizzerias, restaurants, clubs, cinemas, theatre, open air markets, the Sunday flea market and all sort of shops, keep the guests always very busy!

Great Place for a Couples Vacation

Pictures and property description very accurate, property was clean and well maintained everything worked perfectly. The owner was most helpful with directions and places to visit as well as helping with taxi to airport. Local restaurants are great - pizza and pasta that we do not see in the USA. The step up from the living area is a bit of a challenge but it is not a major problem. This area is really neat and access to tourist areas and facilities is very easy plus the local growers market is fun to shop.

We've had a very nice stay in this apartment. Everithing was ready for our come, the owner gave us a very warm wellcome. The apartment is wonderful and we really enjoied the terrace during our evening break. The location is in the Center and just round the corner we found a nice tipical market with fresh food and good price. The property is well-mainteined and clean, the owner gave us all we need for the stay, even an electric adaptor that we forget to take from home. For sure recommend this property

The loft was very comfortable, clean and warm. With heavy rains 4 days out of our six day holiday, it was a lovely place to stay in and chill, listening to music and reading. The owner was very nice, excellent English – so communication was not an issue – and very helpful in getting us organized and pointing us to the places we wanted to visit. The location of the apartment was also excellent. The immediate area had so many good restaurants and friendly cafes. We found the farmer’s market within a 5 minute walk – fresh, well priced, fish, pasta, bread, and more…amazing! With the apartment just over the river from the wonderful old Trastevere district and a 15 minute walk to the Colosseo, getting around was easy. I highly recommend this place for a couple who just want to have a chilled Roman holiday.

The real Rome

Diego, the owner was there to meet us and show us around; he arranged taxis to and from the airport and I would recommend it as cheaper than any other outlet. you do not want to drive!!!!

There is a lift to floor 7 and you ahve to walk up one flight to the apartment. It is very secure and the area generally is residential and safe. The apartment was clean with all the promised amenities; the only problem older or less mobile person may have is that the futon bed slides under the upper level and the step up to it can be a little dodgy. Other than that everything else was good. The balcony was bigger than expected and we enjoyed eating breakfast from the local shops and market every morning.

There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk and an excellent indoor food market where fruit & salad stuff etc are abundant. A small excellent supermarket is on the opposite corner. The metro is about 10 minutes walk and is 1 Euro anywhere in the central tourist area.

The location is very 'Roman' and away from the bustle of Rome central which was worse than Oxford Street pre Christmas. It was also slightly cooler. The area is really vibrant and you will need a bit of Italian.

Overall, good value and if you want to get away from the expensive tourist area, go for it.
