1 km far you can find grocery shops, restaurants and there is also the possibility to order and take out delicious meals at the nearby gastronomic shop. There is a bus stop, the landing pier for the ferry to Arona and the other lake towns and islands docks, a railway station (where you can get local trains to Arona), the beach, and a sports club with tennis court and pool - all a 5 minutes' drive from the villa. at 4 km south, 10 minutes by car or bus, and it has all services and a railroad station which connects to Milan.
Stresa calls invitingly to visitors: the Belle Epoch is now covered by patina, and the plaster is crumbing off the walls but to this day Stresa still exudes the elegance of a fin-de-siècle bathing resort. In the 19th century, the little town on the west shore of the lake was one of Italy's noblest spas.
