Photos and Description of this Chateau d'Oex holiday chalet Ideal for summer or winter holidays in the Gstaad / Gruyere Region.

The Chalet is a home from home. A heated garage, a twin bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor. First floor consists of the main living area with a balcony offering an uninterrupted view over the valley and mountains, and a large twin bedroom opening onto the balcony, a shower room and a study/single bedroom with piano. Upstairs are a double and a twin bedroom. The bathrooms were recently renovated and a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area create convivial open plan living. As a family home we leave it well equipped and comfortable for our guests. We have provided a selection of games, books, CD's, Tapes, DVD's and videos, even sledges, to keep all ages entertained. The chalet is perfect for relaxing or as a base for the activities available in the village and surrounding area. The chalet is only a 20min walk into French speaking village Chateau d'Oex, and boarders the German speaking Gstaad Region, reached easily by the mountain railway below the Chalet.

Tennis courts (summer), ice rink (winter), ten pin bowling, mini golf, cinema, museums, art gallery, outdoor swimming pool (summer only), horse riding, white water rafting and kayaking.Rambling trails and mountain bike trails. Rock climbing.International hot air balloon festival in January. Gstaad 13kms. Valley famous for picturesque Bernese Oberland Railway journey. Interlaken 2 hours, Bern 1 hour away. Les Diablerets glacier (open all year). Larger shops in Bulle. Chateau of Gruyeres (famous for cheese) and Cailler chocolate factory 30mins. In snow season, the Gstaad valley is uncrowded and unspoilt. 250 kms of slopes for skiing/ski walking, snowboarding and winter hiking. Chateau d'Oex has a network of ski lifts, via a cable car. Ski school, 'ski gardens' for children and a long 'luge' (sledge run). Ski Lift Pass entitles skiing from Chateau d'Oex to Saanenmoser & the whole Gstaad region.
