Barbara and Brian's review

Chantilly Kent (UK)
Review Submitted: July 26, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The property was exactly as described on website, though it would be hard to really describe the fantastic view down the loch from the dining room window. We always book self catering holidays and I can honestly say this is the best accomodation we have ever stayed in, and I have to say that having Sky TV was the icing on the cake. After a full day out, we miss having Sky to relax with or when we are just looking for a day not to be rushing around and just chilling out, in fact, if we are looking for accomodation, this is a deal breaker for us. I would find it impossible to find any fault with the accomodation or the description of it on the website. The fish cafe was superb as was the Clackhaig Inn (hope this is spelt right) in Glencoe. Went to Oban and had a fantastic meal on the quay side and enjoyed seeing Stalker Castle on the road back. Location was perfect because you could go north or south and find lots of things to do.
In fact I hope that we have the opportunity to return very soon.

Once again, a truly wonderful holiday.
We were very impressed with how clean the house was and how well equipped. We would truly stuggle to find anything bad to say and we would absolutely recommend the house to any friends who would be staying in the area.

Perfect house in a stunning location

Review Submitted: October 11, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We are a family of 5 who love the outdoors and have been renting holiday homes in mountain locations for many years. We have stayed in some great houses but I have to say, this one tops the lot. If you want spotless, spacious, very comfortable, accommodation offering all the amenities you could want and in the centre of some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland, then this is the place for you. Special mention must be made of the view down the Loch from the dining room which is stunning both in rain and sun, and the wildlife which can be seen in the garden - this year on a rainy morning, we fed and filmed a family of field voles from the dining room and on a previous visit we were lucky enough to watch a pine marten feed on peanut butter (apparently their favourite food) just outside the french windows! Magical. Should you require their services, Lynne and Geoff live next door and without being intrusive, go out of there way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. A well stocked village shop and an excellent cafe/craft shop are close by and the best walkers pub in the area is a few minutes drive away (Clachaig Inn). Really, if like us you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life, love walking, wildlife, mountain biking, rock/ice climbing (The Ice Factor climbing wall is 20 mins drive away), in fact, anything connected to the outdoors, then you can not go far wrong with Lynn and Geoff's wonderful, comfortable, warm house. Just don't book it for a week when we want to go!!

The house is a lot bigger than in the pictures!! Felt very at home. Owner friendly, and handy as they're just next door. Comfortably accomodated 6 adults, and the 3 x shower thing came in VERY handy since we were walking every day. Kitchen is small but functional. Lovely flowery front and back gardens. Generally had everything we needed, and had a bbq on request. View is fantastic, great for watching seabirds. Lovely comfy beds (though a little warm for the season). Massive bath - luxurious. A few silly gripes we could think of: no sieve! more satellite channels! not really suitable for those without a car (as is the highlands in general). But we made a joke about trying really hard to find gripes - you can't really fault it. Thankyou for a cushy stay in a wild country.

A Perfect Stay

JamiP Manchester, England
Review Submitted: April 19, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Camus Bhan is even better than it looks in the photos! We were all pleasantly surprised when we arrived - it looked good in the photos, but fantastic in person. The house is bright, well-maintained and very clean. It's a home I would want to live in myself. The house, and particularly the kitchen, is well-stocked with all that we could have needed for the week. Of course, it helped that we had 7 straight days of sunshine (a rarity!). The view from the dining room is spectacular...and even better if the weather allows you to enjoy it from the porch.

Lynn and Geoff were very welcoming. We felt they were there if we needed anything, but they left us to enjoy the week on our own. It is obvious that they put a lot of time and effort into making Camus Bhan what it is.

I would recommend this property without hesitation - it was perfect. Thanks Lynn and Geoff.
