A cottage in le Marche with pool. Located within the grounds of owners' large farm house, offering all year availability in unspoilt countryside yet only a short distance from blue flag beaches of le Marche. The 2 bedroom cottage is complete with high quality furnishings, central heating and a log fire. The kitchen has all modern appliances and there is a seperate laundry. One bedroom, has a double bed and the other two singles, both have large fitted wardrobes.The bathrooms are large, both have showers, bidets,basins, & toilets and one has a bath.Towels and bed linen are provided. The lounge has a dining area and combined sitting area, with DVD & TV. The pool 12m x 6m is surrounded by a paved area with sunbeds & umbrellas, there is a lawn area adjoining the vineyard and gardens which have been landscaped and depending on the time of year fresh produce will be available to guests. There is a special area for eating out and a barbeque is provided.

We are situated in le Marche nearSan Ginesio & Tolentino, towns offering both historic and cultural activities throughout the year, each having theatres, museums, churches and restaurants. Le Marche has many activities to enjoy, not least of all superb walking at all levels. There are dozens of well marked routes close to the cottage and especially in the Sibillini National Park less than 30 minutes drive away.The beaches in le Marche offer something for everyone, large well equiped resorts & smaller less crowded spots. All have remarkable places to enjoy the famous fish dishes of le Marche. In the summer months local villages & towns of le Marche put on festivals, usually with a palio, stalls, food and fireworks. Lago Fiastra is always popular with visitors, located in the National Park it offers beautiful scenery swimming and boating. From January le Marche has skiing available at a number of resorts based around Sarnano and Visso, which are less than an hours drive away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A security deposit of 200 euro is required, payable on arrival. The deposit will be returned at the time of departure less deductions for any breakages. Heating fuel used during low season rentals will be charged at 1 euro per litre.This is metered seperately, the relevant readings at the start and end of the rental period will be provided. Fuel for the wood burning stove is provide at no cost. The rental period runs from Saturday to Saturday, commencing at 3.0pm, departures should be before 10 am. Bath towels and linen are provided, these are changed midweek for 2 week rentals. Please bring your own beach/pool towels. If you wish we can arrange the final clean of the property at a cost of 50 euro, this should be arranged and paid for at the time of booking.
  • To confirm a booking a non refundable deposit of 30% of the total price is required within 7 days of the confirmation of availability. The balance must be paid at least 7 weeks (49 days) before departure. For bookings that take place within 7 weeks of departure, the full amount is required.
    Payments should be made by bank transfer.
    The owners do not accept liability for damage to property or persons, so please ensure you have the appropiate holiday insurance
  • If after paying the full rental amount you should cancel, we will make every effort to find another client, to avoid the need for cancellations charges over and above the non refundable deposit. If we are unable to find another client, then cancellations charges are as follows: Deposit non refundable, 30% of the rental price if the cancellation is made more than 7 weeks before arrival, 75% of the rental price if the cancellation is made between 6 & 7 weeks before arrival, 100% of the rental price if the cancellation is made 6 weeks or less before arrival.

Notes: There are steps to the garden & from the car park to the cottage, and therefore not suitable for wheel chair access. Smoking is not allowed in the cottage. For very young children a cot/high chair would be available. The owners have broad band access, this can be available by prior arrangement. Longer term rental, normally in the non summer periods, can be agreed for clients seeking property or overseeing rebuilding work.

Walking guide books: We have gained lots of experience on walking routes and have appropiate maps and other helpful information that can be shared with guests. The walks into the nearby mountains are not too strenuous and worth the extra effort. However easier trails exist close by and afford wonderful views of the countryside.

History and Buildings: The local area is full of relatively uncrowded attractions for those interested in history, buildings culture. Again we have a good library of information and will be pleased to assist with itineraries.

Great Place for a Holiday

This is a great property in a stunning location. The views from the house and pool over the rolling countryside are amazing. The owners are very friendly and only too willing to help with information, directions etc. There are plently of interesting places to explore within an hours drive, indluding old hilltop towns - we particularly liked Amandola (great ice cream) and Sarnano. San GInesio has all the local shops that you need if you decide to self cater and the kitchen is well equipped for this too. The Tuesday market in nearby Tolentino is good for a wander. If you want to go further afield Assissi is less than 2 hours away and well worth the trip.The property has been built and fitted out to very high standards with lovely attention to detail. You will need a car to get around and there are steps from the parking area and pool to the house. The pool is extremely well maintained and the grounds are very pretty with a lot of plants and several outside areas to sit and catch the sun. There is no TV reception, though some DVDs are provided, but a great excuse to relax and read instead. We had a really relaxing time and are reccommending it to our friends and family and will go back soon.

wonderful cottage in Marche

What a wonderful cottage in Marche, we enjoyed a fantastic week here in June; Ken, the owner could not have been more helpful or accommodating providing for nearly all one’s needs’! The bedrooms are more than adequate, very comfortable as were the lounge area – photographs do not do him justice.
As for the pool, it was so inviting with the hills / mountains in the background, within a very tranquil location, but not cut off or out of the way; Le Logge at Urbisaglia was within 15 minutes drive (wonderful menu daily) nor can one fail to visit Simone in Bar Ricevitoria Salvi – fantastic coffee and local drinks! There are also wonderful restaurants in Loro Piceno. San Ginesio is also a very interesting hilltop town, steeped in history as is Urbisaglia with its Roman ruins; both Tolentino and Macerata. We’ll be back again and again.

Relaxing and Hospitable

Had a week here and loved it.The cottage combines old building style with modern appliances and fit out (including dishwasher) and the pool, gardens and views were lovely. It's been done with a lot of attention to detail. We've stayed elsewhere in Marche,but this was top.

It's a great spot from which to visit the local towns and villages. Le Logge at Urbisaglia and Girrorosta at Loro Piceno were favourite restaurants and shopping at the butchers in San Ginesio was always an experience (good!)

This is a stunning cottage: everything is as described and even more: the owners Ken and Cristine were so helpful and gave really good recommendations for activities in the region. What is really relaxing is the stunning view on the hills around and the possibility of being so undisturbed.
We will come back and recommend to our Friends.
