This apartment is located in a very typical area on one of Lisbon’s seven hills. Distant 50 meters from our other Old Lisbon Apartment (Apartment # 34476 or # 11833) across the road you find a typical Portuguese bakery, I recommend you to try Pão da Avó (Grandmother’s Bread). Within a 5 minute walk you are in the castle; on the opposite side at the same distance, you get to various museums and monuments. You also cannot miss the exciting city tour, taking the famous tram No. 28, it stops 50 m from the apartment. All kind of shopping and important churches and museums are easily accessible by walk. If you decide to enjoy the apartment, you are invited to take a glass of Port wine in your check-in.

Vicent Church was built following the conquest of Lisbon in 1147. Miradouro Santa Luzia - Lisbon’s dazzling vistas are the most memorable images of the city, and Miradouro one of most romantic. S. Jorge Castle is dominating Lisbon’s skyline. The dramatic castle stands where Lisbon first began. Miradouro da Graça provides more breathtaking views over Lisbon. Visit the Roman theatre museum: the Roman theatre, originally built in the first century BC by emperor Augustus was rebuilt in AD 57, during the time of Nero. The Graça-Alfama Castelo is unfolding like a medieval diorama beneath the mystical Castelo. The Alfama is Lisbon’s spiritual heart. It’s an old Moorish quarter where ribbons of alleyways coil into blind alleys; where crooked alcoves reveal timeless vistas and where old world rituals and costumes unfold like an old Pathé newsreel.

Santa Marinha apartment - a great place to stay

We've just returned from five days spent in Lisbon, and can honestly say that we had a fantastic time in the Santa Marinha apartment. It is right in the middle of Alfama, a short walk from the Graca miradouro, and really close (literally a three or four minute walk downhill) to Tram 28 connecting you to the centre of Lisbon. There was a fantastic place for breakfast nearby, serving wonderful pasteis de nata.

The apartment was clean, and ideal for our needs (2 adults and a child). A second child could easily have been accommodated as there were two single beds. We really felt that this was our 'home' in Lisbon, and our young daughter didn't want to leave. All in all - a great place to say. Many thanks!

AFORDABLE, GREAT LOCATION, SMALL BUT CLEAN APART.

My Wife and I, with our son and daughter stayed in the Apart. while visiting family in Lisbon. The Apart. is very clean, comfortable and it has got all the facilities needed for a family of four, or a small group. It has an old fashioned feeling with modern fittings. there is a small bathtub, but we only used the shower. It is well situated in a quiet area of Old Lisbon, and most tourist attractions can be reached within walking distance from the Apart. but if you don't fancy walking down or up the hill, transport is very accessible, quite frequent and cheap. We recommend you buy the "Tres Esquinas" card, which you can use as many times you want in all TRAMS, BUSES, METRO and ELEVATORS
(tourist attractions ), throughout the whole city. It costs 50cents and you can top it up for a 24rh period, for just 3.70Euros.
There are plenty of restaurants small shops and cafes near the Apart. and if you are around on a Tuesday or Saturday, go down to the street market just by the Church, you might find an old and interesting genuine gift there.
After a long and pleasant day/night out, it's nice to come back to the Apart. and relax with a glass of port wine, courtesy of the owners.
We will be back sometime soon... Well recommended.

Je voulais vous dire que nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Lisbonne. Votre appartement est très bien situé, très agréable et très commode pour les visites. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. Peut-être reviendrons nous une autre fois.

Great Value Family Apartment

Great Value. Our Santa Marinha Apartment was well located close to all the sights, restaurants and Fado bars of the Alfama district. It was also very close to the famous "Number 28" tram that winds its way down the hill to central Lisboa. Paula was very helpful with local information and very flexible with regard to our booking, which helped a great deal as we were traveling with three young children. The apartment itself was very good value with a spacious kitchen and two large comfortable bedrooms. If this is your first visit to Lisboa, then plan to stay longer - we wish we had!

An excellent, clean ancomfortable budget apartment

We found the apartment very convenient and true to its description. We particularly enjoyed the feeling of staying among the locals but still close to the centre of town and the tourist spots. Mrs Paula was very helpful and presented the property in spotless condition for our week in Lisbon. The Graca area is very hilly but well served by the No. 28 tram. There are ample shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.
