Hacienda del Alamo holiday villa: Fuente Alamo de Murcia

We have just returned from our holiday a this villa. It was clean, light and modern and fully equipped with everything you'd need for a family. Good aircon keeps the whole house cool!
We have 3 children under 10 and the garden & pool area were private with secure double gates which helped us relax that little bit more. The position is good as it is in the middle of the street but not overlooked at all and the road is very quiet.
The beds are all very comfortable (another pillow would be good though!) and spacious and the area is quiet on a night. The rooms are all on one level so it is safe for small children.
Theres a football pitch & tennis courts 5 minutes walk from the villa, which are well mantained and we used a lot, though in summer it is about 8pm before it's cool enough to use them, this also goes for the play areas which are small but well looked after. Apart from that there isn't a great deal to do on the hacienda (apart from play golf of course!!) so a car is absolutely essential but with ample parking and good road links this wasn't a problem.
The Sierra Espuna mountains are a must see with breathtaking views, cycling and walking. Los Alcazares is about 30 minutes drive and has a good range of nice restaurants and lovely beaches. Carthagena is also about 30mins drive and has loads of shops & a good museum which opens up onto a large roman theatre that is hidden from the street and is only about 3 euros, and there are lots of bars & restaurants around it.
Overall it is one of the best villas we have stayed in and the pool is fantastic. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely recommed this villa to friends and will probably return in the future ourselves.
