There are 3 beaches; the L'Ampolla beach is a lovely sandy beach with a play area for children, El Portet, which is set in a beautiful bay and ideal for children with its shallow waters and Andrago beach, just a short stroll from the town. Walk around the lovely harbour and visit the fish market selling freshly caught fish of the day, then wander around the town and choose from the many bars and restaurants for refreshments! Every Friday you will find the local market on the large car park in the centre of Moraira which is well worth a visit.
There are many festivals during the year; one of the most spectacular is the Moors and Christ.

The local shops and night market offer a really excellent choice of quality clothes, gifts and keepsakes. There is a fairground, especially suitable for young children, a fabulous Go Karting circuit, for all ages, a tennis club and three nightclubs. Also nearby are three golf courses, horse riding, and water sports centres.
The larger resorts of Javea, Denia and Calpe are all within a half hour drive. Benidorm is also well within reach. Here you will find all the children's favourites- Terra Mítica Theme park, Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar Animal Kingdom, with its world famous dolphin show.
If countryside and mountain tops are what you seek, then within 40 minutes you can be witnessing the breathtaking views at Guadalest or at the summit of the Sierra Bernia. Also, in just over one hour, you could be in Valencia, Spain's beautifu
