A beautiful modern self catering rental house only five minutes drive from the bustling market town of Kenmare in the south west of Ireland. This self catering vacation cottage, which is in its own grounds of over two acres alongside the Cleady River which has a (hidden) waterfall giving you the relaxing sound of running water, has all the conveniences you would require on a self catering holiday. This self catering cottage has satellite TV, washer, dryer, dishwasher and three bedrooms which sleep up to six (two doubles and one twin). Two bedrooms are en suite with a further bathroom for the third room. A cot and high chair can be made available on request at no additional cost. For those cooler evenings and nights there is an open fire place for burning logs and turf!. We welcome well behaved house trained pets! Kenmare is a beautiful heritage town located in Kerry, southwest Ireland. It is about a two hour drive from Shannon, and hour and a half from Cork and four hours from Dublin

In South West Ireland is County Kerry 'the Kingdom'. The Jewel in the Kingdom is a beautiful heritage town named Kenmare. Cleady River Cottage is only a five minute drive from town and is perfect for a relaxing vacation. To get to the cottage from Kenmare, follow the R369 towards Kilgarvan, after approximately three kilometers turn left after sign for 'Quarry'. The traditional stone clad cottage is 500 meters up this country lane on the right. (8th house on right)

Irish Open Golf comes to Killarney!: Following what the title sponsors called 'robust negotiations' with the European Tour, it has been confirmed that next year's 3 Irish Open will take place at Killarney on 29 July-1 August. Killarney previously played host in 1991 and 1992, with Nick Faldo winning both times. 'Killarney's Killeen is a magnificent course in an idyllic setting and we expect many of the world's top golfers to take part in what will be a magical weekend in one of the world's great beauty spots.

Special Rate for Irish Open Golf: As Kenmare is less than 40 minsutes drive from the new home to the Irish open golf tournament why not take advantage of it's proximity by bringing the family on a holiday to one of Irelands nicest holiday destinations and you can take in the golf! If you're lucky enough to be playing in the tournament we can arrange (at extra cost) a helicopter to bring you over each day to the course and return you to Kenmare after you top the leaderboard! Cleady River Cottage-great family location

Three generations of my family want to extend our gratitude to you for our wonderful vacation at Cleady River Cottage this August. We truly enjoyed this spacious and comfortable vacation home. The pictures you provided do not do justice to the lovely setting and exceptional accomodations! We used the cottage as our home base as we explored Kenmare, the beautiful Ring of Kerry and the breathtaking West Cork seaside. Each evening we gathered on the deck or by the fireplace to share our day's adventures and then slept to the sound of the river. Our two-year old grandaughter had a wonderful time running in the large and beautifully landscaped yard and playing with the toys that were so graciously provided. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to enjoy leisurely family breakfasts and having a washer and dryer on the premises just added to our comfort. The owner and the caretaker were exceptionally responsive to all of our needs and inquiries; they simplified the process for both renting and accessing the cottage and they continue to respond to our correspondences now that we have returned home. This was our first Irish vacation but we look forward to returning to Ireland and to Cleady cottage again. Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime!

I'll have to perfect my photography skills and put some better pictures up as Maureen informs me that they don't do the cottage justice! At least our people skills don't need updating yet and we're very pleased that the Maureen, Ed and their family found our cottage as delightful as we do.

The Cleady River Cottage could not have been a better setting for our Kenmare visit. The house was perfect in everyway. it was spotless and perfectly maintained. It truly was like "being at home". Being good cooks, we found the kitchen with all new appliances to be very roomy and plentiful for preparing and serving meals.
After two Kenmae visits, we will attempt to make "Cleady River Cottage" our future headquarters!

Cleary River Cottage

It was better than the description. The first thing you hear when you get out of the car is the water from the river. The house is extremely comfortable, the town and the people are wonderful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent cottage & excellent service

We'd love to say a very warm and big thank you for making our 1 week stay in April a true charm. We had been carefully selecting this cottage among the many others available, and haven't been disappointed by any means. The cottage is in an excellent condition, located in a calm branch of Kenmare, extremely tidy, with all gadgets one needs to make a stay memorable, and with furniture and an interieur desing which made us feel "home" from the very first day on.

We can totally recommend this cottage as one of the most beautiful we have spent some time in so far, and the help, support and friendliness from the cottage owners is better than in any 5 Star Hotel we have spent time in so far.

We can recommend this cottage for families, due to the size and location of the cottage, as well as for couples or singles which want to spend a lovely time in this area.

We are going to return to this cottage for sure.

Fantastic self catering holiday!

We found this cottage to be absolutely perfect for our holiday in Kerry. It was only five minutes drive from the beautiful town of Kenmare which has some of the best restaurants we've ever eaten in!

The cottage had everything that you'd want including a real open fire which we lit every night even though the weather was warm! It just looks so good! The kids loved the big (very big!) gardens for playing in and the deck must be a great place to relax in the summer - maybe next time we'll try that.

The bedrooms (3) were very comfy with two doubles and a twin room for the kids. They were all well kitted out and two of them had ensuites and the twin room is right beside the main bathroom so it was like an ensuite too.

The kitchen has all the appliances that you'd want and even some (electric blender) that we don't have at home - all in all a very well equipped place for a cook.

We'd strongly recommend this cottage to people who enjoy their comfort while on holidays.
