This is the ideal vacation house for families who want to be away from the rush and noises of the tourist destinations while staying in easy reach of all activities and excitement. Ideally located right above the very picturesque and famous village of Céret, in the foot hills of the Pyrenees in French Catalonia, the villa is set in a nature reserve 'green zone'. From the vast living room, one can admire the huge expanse of the Tech valley all the way to the sea through floor to ceiling glass French doors. In the distance, Argelès sur Mer offers large sandy beaches and full access to the Mediterranean sea. The villa ideally suits up to 4 adults with room for up to 3/4 children upstairs. The kids will love the garden, the private woods behind the house, hiking along the canals, the pool and play ground in Ceret. Ceret is an easy ten minute walk so there is no need to drive every time you feel like going to the cafe, shops, galleries, restaurants, museums, wine bars etc in the village

The town of Ceret is the gem of the Pyrenees-Orientales. It is an incredibly charming and picturesque old medieval town that has been totally unspoiled by tourism. It is the most sought after location for people wanting to enjoy this stunning region of France at a relaxed pace away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy towns on the coast along the Med. One can enjoy excellent food and wine in the several cafes and restaurants, year round festivities, very friendly locals, lovely shops, galleries, a famous modern art museum, an extensive Saturday Market. Nearby, one can visit some of the many extraordinary castles, many very friendly local vineyards for wine tasting, sea side town such as Collioure, St Cyprien, Argeles su Mer, Canet, beautiful mountain villages for walking, exploring, swimming in natural hot springs, or taking the famous Yellow Train along the precipices.
