This is a self-catering flat in central London only a short walk from the new Euro star terminal and within walking distance of the City and the West End with Art Galleries, Museums , Theatres etc. There is one bedroom with double bed and en suite shower/toilet. The kitchen/sitting/dining area has a double bed settee and a bed chair for one person. There is free view TV, Broadband, DVD player and full central heating. There is a separate laundry room. No smoking or pets!

Many museums and galleries are within easy walking distance; The well known ones such as the British Museum, Barbican, The National Gallery, Tate Modern, West End Theatres as well as the less well know - Charles Dickens museum, London Dungeons etc A walk along the banks of the river Thames and the famous cultural centre 'the South Bank' are a 'must'. The new British Library, and the new Eurostar terminal are within 5 minutes walk of the flat - a day trip to Paris is easy at 2 hours 10 minutes each way! There are many local pubs and restaurants and London Zoo is only a short distance by underground or bus.

  • We take a deposit of £100 against cleaning and damage to the property. This will be refunded within 1 week of departure after cleaning services have been assessed. We are not draconian but we have had some bad experiences with mess left behind!
    It is also possible to pay in Euros or New Zealand dollars and so possibly save on Bank Transfer Fees - just ask us about it.

Notes: The washing machine and dryer are in a separate location on the landing outside the flat. There is also a toilet in the laundry room which makes it easier if there are people sleeping in the sitting room. As the flat is on the first floor with no lift elderly people who can climb stairs would have no problem.

The House: This is a terraced house built around 1825. It is a 4 storey listed building ie. considered to be of historic interest. We own the whole house. Although it is located on a very busy London street it is surprisingly quiet inside. The windows are all double glazed and the bedroom is to the rear of the house and so very quiet. Although there is no garden the sitting room windows are large and let in a lot of sun and there is a park nearby for children. Coram fields park with the Foundling hospital museum is about 5 minutes walk.

We stayed in this small apartment in May 2009 with our nearly 2 year old son. It is a small flat but perfectly adequate for a couple. The property was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. There is some traffic noise particularly if the windows are open as this street is very busy and near a main route. The proximity to Kings Cross St Pancras was good and there were a number of shops nearby. We found the bathroom/shower were a lot smaller than we expected but again, functional. Overall a pleasant stay.
