Llamedos Dois is a lovely 3 bedroom cottage with superb sea views and garden located within the Ocean Club at Praia da Luz. The cottage, although recently built, has all the charm and comfort of a traditional Portuguese villa. It is just five minutes walk from Luz centre with its restaurants and bars and five minutes to the sea front. There is a beautiful lounge/dining room, kitchen and cloakroom on the first floor with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the ground floor. This is a location from which you can choose any type of holiday you wish, either relaxing by the pool or beach, water sports, golf, horse riding, sight seeing or walking on the cliff tops. All are within ten minutes of Llamedos-dois. The Ocean Club has 4 beautiful swimming pools, (one exclusively for adults) all with pool bars, and five all-weather tennis courts, with the most well-known tennis centre on the Algarve. The Ocean Club also offers special rates for golfers on a number of local courses.

The village of Praia da Luz, just 6 kms from Lagos, nestles in its own bay with a wonderful beach and a backdrop of white cottages and terracotta roofs. There are numerous restaurants and various shops within 5 minutes walk of the villa. It is the ideal location for any type of holiday, from sight seeing; golf, surfing, sailing, horse riding or long cliff walks to simply lazing by the pool or sea. It takes 10 mins to Lagos by car or bus where there are a myriad places of interest, shops, churches, sea trips, rock sculptures etc. 30 mins inland the small towns of Monchique and Silves are fascinating to wander around and 30 mins west you reach the 'S.W. tip of Europe' at Cape St Vincent from where Henry 'the Navigator' set sail. The scenery here is awesome and different to anything else you will see in Portugal. You can then wander all the way up the west coast enjoying the stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean, before returning to Llamedos-dois, your home by the sea.

The two twin bedded rooms are charming, one in yellow and one pale green, both have fitted wardrobes and patio doors onto the rear patio/garden. A second bathroom with shower and bidet serves these two rooms.

Notes: The villa is part of the Ocean Club complex with access to 4 swimming pools, all with snack/bar facilties. One of these is for 'adults only' and one is indoor. There is also access to five all-weather championship tennis courts and the club is renowned for its Jonathan Markson Tennis Centre. The Ocean Club has negotiated special rates at a number of local golf courses, and there are also creche and baby sitting facilities available to our guests. There is a fax facility at the Reception of The Ocean Club. There is a built-in BBQ and disposable bbq's can be bought at the supermarket. The maids come in 3 times per week.

We stayed at LLamedos-dois in June 2008 and had a fantastic week. The villa had 3 bedrooms all of which were a great size and the kitchen and living space is fully equiped. The rear garden is a lovely secluded area where you catch the sun for most of the day. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean is a great way to start any day!
It is only a short walk to the beach and on a evening the restaurants and bars are only 5 minutes away.

Just want to let you know that we enjoyed our time at your property. A real gem! Perfect for the family and the children enjoyed their own bedrooms. My only disappointment that you advertise a purpose built barbeque, but no grill was left! I would be tempted to return to this property if I could broaden by culinary skills, on the barbeque. Thanks Sharon and David

A home away from home

We first visited this property some years ago shortly after construction; we've revisited a number of times since as both the house and surrounding area continue to improve.

Facilities are first class, as are the ever changing views from the balcony. The pleasant lawned garden has its own barbecue and all the outdoor furniture you could wish for.

Praia de Luz is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area and nearby Lagos is particularly charming. Eating out is simple or sophisticated with prices reflecting your choice of venue. Beaches and cliff top walks complete what for us has become a perfect holiday that we would confidently recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Llamedos Dois. All the rooms are spacious and airy, and the whole place is in immaculate order and well equipped.
Luz is pleasant holiday resort with a lovely beach and lots of great bars and restaurants.
Owner's Response: We use LLamedos-dois as our own holiday home, and as such we want it as comfortable and enjoyable as our own home. We try to ensure that it is maintained and refurbished as necessary and will always provide a welcoming ambience to guests, who we hope will enjoy it as much as ourselves.
