Poor communication, brutal accomodations

We had booked this cottage for our honeymoon, but when we arrived we found someone else to be in it. We were told that we had been advised the blue cottage was already taken, but we definitely were not. We got put in a cottage next door which was much smaller, had no amenities listed with the blue cottage (BBQ, plunge pool, etc.) and although we were not looking for glamourous accomodations, the cottage was pretty gross. We spent all night finding another location to get to and did end up with a great apartment, however it was on the other end of the island and we had to take an expensive cab ride to get there. In the owners defence, he was understanding of us wanting to leave and did apologize for the miscommunication. We were only charged for one nights stay minus the jeep rental which we appreciated. Too bad, because this cottage we had originally booked looked exactly like what we were looking for.
