Situated in Old Nice this self-catering holiday apartment in the heart of the old quarter, which is a hive of activity by day, & Nice's most romantic quarter by night. Getting here couldn't be easier, hop on the bus at the airport and hop off just after it turns away from the beach, you are at Rue St François de Paule. 100 meters from there and you have arrived. Alternatively, why not use our airport collection service, at only €25 one way, it takes a lot of the stress and hassle out of finding the right bus & the right stop

    Car park facilities are charged separately.
    An airport transfer service can be provided for 25€.
    Late check in (after 19:00) is charged 20€
  • 3 nights are charged 65% of the weekly rate
    4 nights are charged 70% of the weekly rate.
    5 nights are charged 80% of the weekly rate.
    6 nights are charged 90% of the weekly rate..

    Discounts are available for stays of 2 weeks or more (-5%) and 4 weeks or more (-10%).

Getting around: Busses- The TAM busses are operated by the Conseil General des Alpes Maritimes and now charge a flat 1€ per person, per trip. ie Every time you get on the bus, you pay 1€ regardless of how far you are going. The busses are clean, usually on time, and air conditioned. Trains- The TER trains are the ones that serve the coastal towns, they are regular and clean. A ticket Nice to Monaco return will set you back 5 euro, but if you fancy spending the day exploring several towns then you are best to go for the Carte Isabelle which allows you on and off the train from Frejus to Vintimiglia as many times as you like in one day, and costs 12 euro, unfortunately it is only available in the summer month July to September. If train journeys is what you enjoy then you might want to consider the Chemin de Fer de Provence which offers a very scenic train through the lower Alpes from Nice to Dignes, clinging to the hill sides as it meanders its way across valleys and on up into the hills.

Tram- The tram is popular, and is therefore usually crowded, Tickets can be bought at the stops, from the booths on the platforms Pricing is as follows; 1 trip ticket =1 euro 10 trip ticket = 10 euro 1 day pass = 4 euro 7 day pass = 15 euro Cyclotour- You will see, dotted around Nice, strange tricycles with a covered back seat. If you are worn out from to much walking and/or shopping, use them. They are usually driven by students who will take you wherever you want for 1?/km, even on a tour of Nice. Parking- For those of you who come by car, parking Saleya (under cours Saleya) do passes for the duration of your stay . As a guide they charge 49? for a three day pass and 8? a day thereafter, which allows you in and out as often as you like. It is worth remembering that if it is your birthday they will offer you your birthday parking for free, and they have bicycles that they will lend free to car park users. You can get information on all this on site in the car park.

I had a very good experience, with some problems but to sum up, positive.
positive points: excellent location, cheap, excellent communication with the contact by internet, excellent reception and communication with the owner of the apartment.
negative points: floor number 6 without lift, there is no wi-fi, if you are a tall person the apartment will not be comfortable.

Good location

Stayed at this apartment for 4 night at the beginning of June. The main thing this place has going for it is the location, right in the heart of Nice and only metres away from cafes, bars and resturants, the beach is also only a minutes walk which was good. The apartment itself is small but was informed of that before hand, but didnt know about the low slanting ceilings which were a little annoying, banged my head a few times and the toilet is in an awkward position for someone who only average size. The studio was clean and comfortable though and the ceiling fan was useful as it was quite hot and sticky. The welcome book was useful, went to a couple of resturants which were suggested and both were to a high standard.

All and all a good place especially for price and location.

My friend and I stayed here last week for 5 nights and loved it! The apartment is in a great location, and was big enough for 2 girls sharing (although it did get messy at times). Apartment has a very unique and quirky look which is not 'run of the mill'.

With regards facilities, the apartment is well equiped, however the kitchen knife wasn't very sharp and the bathroom light wasn't working, although we were able to improvise. The apartment isn't suitable for elderly as it is 6 storeys up, but it definately kept us fit. Although it isnt mentioned in the listing, there is a charge for towels so take your own if you want to avoid this charge. Also, 1 last thing, although we tried, and Matthew and Ko were very helpful we were unable to get internet access, maybe due to the thick walls???

All in all this is a great apartment, and we would definately go back.

Perfect for the budget traveler!

My partner and I came here for a week in December 2008, and it was just perfect. We only booked it a couple of weeks before as we decided at the last minute to go to Nice. Matthew was fantastic in answering all of our questions. Ko was extremely helpful and pleasant during our stay. The studio itself is on the top floor of a 6th floor building so there is a lot of walking. However, it is well worth it, as the location is perfect and you have everything you need within walking distance. For the two of us (plus our dog who loved the nearby park), it was a perfectly comfortable play to call home base. Very clean and well-maintained. Kitchen is adequately equipped to cook meals and all the space in the apartment is very efficiently used. Happy to recommend it to others!

We stayed in the same building but another appartment earlier in the year we returned to Nice in September as we loved the appartment and loved the location. This a basic appartment for two and had everything we needed. Was clean tidy and had some great art work by the lady who looked after the keys very friendly and helpful. Couldn't get a better location. Had a brilliant time. Not for the unfit - lots of stairs or the tall - low ceilings. Excellent value. Superb! Will go back soon.
