Beautiful 18th century chateau in lower Normandy set on 14 hectares of gardens and forest. The main building has 5 bedrooms sleeping 9 and four large modern bathrooms and a guest toilet on the ground floor. Fully equipped modern kitchen with eating area and working fireplace. House is equipped with central heating. Other buildings on grounds include chapel, 17th century bread oven, and stables. Located 10 km from Alencon, 45 minutes from Camembert, 45 minutes from Le Mans racing venue and 1h30 from Loire Valley Chateaux.

Direct high speed trains from Le Mans to Charles de Gaulle Airport (Paris).

We very much enjoyed our stay at the “Chateau.” Our arrival was seamless with everything in the house in functioning order and excellent bathrooms and kitchen. Since we were only two people, we had plenty of room, and only used a part of the house. Larger parties should be aware that the house is “a work in progress” and much work still needs to be done particularly to one of the salons on the main floor. The first floor has three lovely bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. The two bedrooms on the second floor are smaller and share a large bathroom. The setting is quite lovely with modest walking opportunities on the property, and the town of Alencon proved to be quite pleasant with good shops and a wonderful outdoor market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Day trips to Rouen, Bayeux, Caen and the Normandy beaches all were quite easy.
