Central apartment; 200m from the Port Pelegri beach, which is surrounded by other delightful beaches, and 250m from the center. 1st floor (two story building, without lift). With communal swimming-pool (from June 15th) and tennis court. Outdoor parking place. Distribution: 2 twin bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living - dining room (with 1 sofa bed and T.V.), kitchen (with ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine) and a furnished terrace. Sleeps up to 5 people. Completely renewed apartment. COMFORT CATEGORY (Apart: 60m2).

Apart from the relax of its beaches, Calella also offers plenty of activities to its visitors, like the Jazz Festival of Cap-Roig Castle, where many international artists have performed, and the Traditional Festival of Sailor's songs. Sport lovers will also enjoy sea sports, excursions to the old paths which go along the sea, golf or diving. And shopping, since Calella is very close to Barcelona, Girona and Palafrugell. Reaching Calella is easier than ever with the low cost flights of Ryan Air which land at Girona Airport.

We had a lovely time in this apartment (Golosa complex) - it didn't have the Air Conditioning that we had asked for but as it was September, the weather was cool enough to do without. The Rental agents were helpful with our weird arrival (late Sunday PM) and cheerfully refunded our cleaning deposit without inspection (damn, I didn't need to clean it so thoroughly!!). The apartment was open plan with a partition door for the 'second' bedroom and had a separate 'master' bedroom with uncomfortable single beds. Kitchen facilities were great - microwave, hob and oven as well as a large fridge-freezer. No dishwasher or kettle though. We had an ant infestation while we stayed but kept spraying them and they finally got the message. Pool was fabulous and tennis court under-used. Village of Calella was lovely (if pricey for eating out) and beaches great (after your feet toughened to the grit that they have instead of sand)! Can recommend Tango (Calella) and Tragamer (Canadell) for eating and would avoid La Gavina ( horrible frozen prawns for 28 EURO!!) Supermarket was close to the apartment and did not shut for siesta (which was nice). Walk back from the beach was a bit steep on the way back with a pram but not too bad. Having a car to get to medieval hill towns is a must - Pals and Peratallada are favourites. Would recommend this region and apartment - but not in August when AC maybe needed for getting small children to sleep. No UK Chavs at resort (kept away by high prices) and a good mix of all European nationalities and locals.
