Il Pino is an exceptionally well equipped house in a stunning location. Approached via a cypress lined driveway, the house is part of an exclusive, recently converted, gated farm complex (20 homes) on a hill top and has been beautifully furnished with local antiques. It has beamed ceilings and many character features. It is fitted out with every comfort in mind including air conditioning, broadband, dishwasher, satellite TV, DVD, and full size cooker. The house enjoys panoramic views from all the rooms, has its own private garden with loungers and dining table, and there is a very large shared pool which is never crowded. Located in the heart of Southern Tuscany, near the amazing hill top town of Cortona, the house is within very easy driving distance of Siena, Arrezzo, Perugia, Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Gimignano and Florence. There is a station within 10 minutes of the house and Rome is a 1.5 hour train ride. In all respects Il Pino is the perfect holiday destination

located in Southern Tuscany the house is ideally situated for visits to the tourist destinations of Cortona, Siena, Arrezzo, Perugia, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Montalcino, lucigiano, Florence and San Gimignano amongst many others. Two weeks is nothing like long enough to visit the many outstanding towns within easy reach of Il Pino. For water sports enthusiasts Lake Trasimeno is just a few minutes drive away and for walkers the high hills of South Eastern Tuscany are about 20 minutes drive. The Etruscan town of Cortona, the nearest town (15 mins by car), is one of the finest and most spectacular hill top towns in Italy. With its many speciality shops, and its excellent range of first class restaurants, it is the perfect destination for a relaxed evening meal or a shopping trip. For the more serious shopper, Siena is under 40 minutes by car and for the wine lover Montepulciano is under 30 minutes.

  • The keys to the house will be sent to you by recorded delivery at least 2 weeks before your holiday start date. An addressed envelope will also be sent to you for returning the keys.

    A deposit of 25% of the holiday cost is payable at the time of booking. The balance, along with a £100 security deposit, is payable 1 month before the holiday start date. The security deposit will be returned once the house has been checked and the keys have been returned.

    No refund is payable within 1 month of the holiday start date and you are advised to take out holiday travel insurance.

  • The house sleeps a maximum of 4 plus 1 infant in a cot (provided). The double bedroom is on the first floor and is adjacent to the shower room. The twin bedroom is on the ground floor and is adjacent to the bathroom. This is a great arrangement for 2 couples or for a family where the adults don't want to be directly adajcent to their children. The sitting room is on the first floor and well away from the twin bedroom. The bedrooms are beautifully firnished with antique wardrobes and bedside tables. The ceilings are beamed and the floors are terrcatta tiles with rugs. Both bedrooms are fitted with air conditioners and there is a hair dryer in the master bedroom.

Notes: Il Pino is a beautifully furnished house and is exceptionally well equipped. Air conditioning, electricity, and gas are included in the rental price. Within the private garden there is a dining table with 4 chairs for eating 'Al Fresco' and there are 2 sun loungers. The dining table in the kitchen/diner comfortably seats six. Around the pool there are enough sun beds and sun umbrellas for all and the views from the pool side over southern Tuscany are quite breathtaking. The bed linen and towels are changed weekly and for renters staying longer than a week a weekly clean is included in the price. For those of you who are addicted to the Internet there is broadband access in the kitchen/diner but you will need to bring your own laptop. There is also good mobile reception at the house. There is a flat screen television with satellite in the sitting room and a DVD/CD player. There is also a small collection of DVD's and a CD player.

Beautiful views from a well equipped house

We had a great time in Tuscanny staying at this well equipped house. It was home from home and ideal for couples or families. The setting was fantastic and the location provided breath-taking views. The accomodation was extremely good value for money and had a great pool (shared but very quiet). It was within five minutes to the local autoroute (A class road) and supermarkets were within easy reach. Drive from Pisa airport was two hours so if possible fly to Perugia or Florence. Would come back again.
