A new two bedroom town-house that sleeps 5 people, situated on a small private residential development, with a communal swimming pool. The townhouse has been recently built and is comfortably furnished. Located in a small rural Spanish village called Dolores de Pacheco, which is 10 minutes drive to the Mediterranean shores and the crystal clear waters of the quiet Mar Menor. The shallow waters are ideal for young children. The waters are healing because of the high mineral content in the mar menor. The peace and tranquility is ideal to wind down and relax as soon as you arrive, with a local Tapas bar in the village serving local wines and tapas. There are several new golf courses nearby. San Javier airport is 5 minutes away by car, and there are several car hire companies available. The town-house is fully equipped and includes satellite T.V., air-conditioning, washing machine, linen and towels (no beach towels), iron, hairdryer, and private roof terrace with sun-loungers.

Nearest Airport: San Javier Airport at 5 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Cartegena at 20 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Las Alcazeras at 2 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 3.0 Kilometres
Car: recommended
The nearest beach is called the Mar Menor which is well known for its theraputic waters, ideal for skin complaints and artheritus. There are water pedalos and sun loungers to rent on the beach. The Mar menor is ideal for children as the water stays shallow for a long way out. There are plenty of places to eat on the beach and they do menu of the day for 8 euros (3 course meal with wine). There are several new golf courses within minutes from the townhouse appartment, Polaris World and Roda golf. Tennis is very popular with reknowned famous tennis courts in La Manga 20 minutes drive. La Manga is a narrow strip of land where you can swim in the waves of the mediteranean on one side and swim in the still waters of the Mar Menor on the other side. Cartegena has one of the oldest ports in Europe and is well worth a visit. There is a spectacular ampitheater just been unearthed and discovered. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and tapas bars, or watch the world go by at the waterfront

On the first floor there is a balcony were you can sit and look over the pool area. On the second floor there is a roof terrace where you can sun-bathe in private, with sunloungers.

Just returned from family holiday

The property is in excellent condition and is very well presented and comfortable. The owners Carol and Gavin are great to deal with and always responded quickly to any questions and offer flexible rentals.
The Town house is situated in a quiet village which I must admit we did not explore that much other than visiting the local grocery shop on the first night - bit of a language barrier as we had trouble finding the milk ! We spent many an evening sitting on the roof terrace with some drinks etc, which was very pleasant.
A car is however essential as it is about 3 or 4 km to the beaches and to Los Alcazares. We travelled more than expected as we ventured to La Manga strip (lovely beaches on the med sea) which was 45 minutes to get half way up the strip and also to Cartegena (nice town with loads of history and shopping). If you like a nice beach I woud also recommend Guadamar del Segura which again is 45 minutes away. The local beaches are fine as well but the Mar Menor is sheltered and as such the water is quite tame....especially compared to Guadamar (5 ft waves when we visited). Los Alcazares also has some very nice restaurants and our favourite was the Bayside.
The house is also very secure and is well appointed. I would recommend this property as a holiday base, provided you hire a car.

I have just returned from this townhouse and I have had a very relaxing holiday.
The beds are very comfortable and the house is well maintained and on arrival the property was very clean.
The description regarding location, layout, and facilities couldnt be better.
I am hoping to return later in the year, as I have been told the sea becomes warmer as the months go on.
Kite-surfing was our main aim this holiday, and the sea at the Mar Menor was perfect. The sea is calm and warm. If waves are your thing go to La Manga strip ( 30 mins ).
I do recommend that you hire a car to travel around the area, as there are some beatiful places to go and see.
