outstanding relaxing retreat!!!!

Review Submitted: April 26, 2011 Date of Stay: April 2011
We have been to this lodge several times both on our own and with all our family and it never fails to deliver!! The lodge is a real home from home so clean and tidy and everything you would need. The atmosphere is so relaxing and there is so much to do in and around the area. The Boathouse is also very good value and lovely meals and ambiance but to be honest I could just sit on the balcony of The Crannog and look out all day! We never fail to meet a red squirrel when we're there. I would highly recommend this lodge for anyone looking for either a relaxing break or an adverture holiday it suits any type of break.

Relaxation the minute you arive

Review Submitted: December 22, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010
Going to Loch Tay Highland Lodges was absolutely amazing, the journey down the hill towards The Cranog was like flicking a switch and you were in relaxed mode. The lodge itself has everything you need to make you feel at home. There are also breathtaking views the mnute you open the curtains in the morning and at night time you can hear a pin drop outside. I never thought staying in a lodge would be so enjoyable, we were there with friends and they too had an amazing time, didn't now what to expect but had a fantastic weekend. We visited The Boathouse, the restaurant on the site, the food was lovely and the staff very friendly, it's also nice just to have a drink there too. I will definetely be booking up again soon and I have already recommended The Cranog to a few of my friends to come and visit and experience a very enjoyable relaxing stay there.

October Break

Review Submitted: December 19, 2010 Date of Stay: October 2010
The Crannog Lodge proved to be an excellent choice of destination for my wife, kids and I during the October holidays. The kids loved the freedom, the on-site play park and the harbour area where you can hire boats, mountain bikes and canoes etc. The lodge itself was kitted out extremely well, it's remarkably warm and cosy and benefits from lots of mod cons including a large flat screen tv, dvd, satellite television and power shower. Given the position of the lodge, the scenery really was breathtaking. The site appears to be very popular with hill walkers and water sport enthusiasts which isn't surprising given its location. The on site staff are very friendly and helpful and the Lodge owner gave us lots of information about places to visit and to take the kids. Fully recommend this lodge to families or to groups of friends looking for a relaxing or energetic break.
