We looked to rent a Villa at Very short notice and the Owners of the Villa (Mary and Des) was extremely helpful and accomodating.
Location of the villa is about 3KM via the Main road from Kas, or 1.5 KM via a Dirt Road. Car Rental is remommended and pretty much essential as there are no local shops.
The owners, Mary and Des, met us on arrival at the villa, and the following morning in Kas Town centre. They had arranged for our Transfers to and from the Airport as well as our car rental for 1 week. All we had to do was simply sign the car rental agreement and we were mobile. They also took the time to show us around the shops advising where to shop and what to avoid. To be honest - they were fantstic hosts.
The Villa is beautiful and is located in a Rural village just outside of Kas. It has 4 Good Size Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, Open Plan and Well furnished lounge with TV, DVD player and Mini Hifi, Fully Fitted kitchen and Dining area with all your White goods, crockery, cuttlery (pretty much everything you have at home).
The Swimming pool is clean and well looked after - its a little deep for my kids (1.6 Metres I think) but with arm bands they spend literally days in the pool and became confident swimmers by the end of the holiday.
Kas is a lovely town, not too commercialised yet and the people are friendly. The local Beaches are Pebble and well maintained. For Sandy Beaches, there is Patara Beach (About 45 Mins Drive away) and also Demre Beach (again 45 Mins drive in the opposite direction to Patara).
There is lots to do in Kas itself, Dining, Boat trips, excursions, relaxing etc. It's a really laid back place and very well maintained.
Food wise, I'd recommend Sofra Restaurant in the Old Town opposite a Bigger restaurant called Eris (we didnt eat at Eris as the owner is creepy and by the sound of it carries a chip on his shoulder). There are so many places to eat at - youre spoilt for choice.
Driving in Kas and South Turkey is a joy, Empty Roads, Delightful views and no Traffic at all.
All in all - a Fantastic safe location, extremely well kept villa and all the activities you would need within a 5 Minute drive. What makes it even more memorable is the hospitality of the Owners.
We'll definately be visiting again and we cant wait to get there again.
