LONG WINTER LET AVAILABLE: THE APARTMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR A LONG WINTER LET BETWEEN OCTOBER 2008 - MARCH/APRIL 2009 AT A PRICE OF €500 PER MONTH (EXCLUDING WATER AND ELECTRICITY).
FAMILIES: SO MUCH TO DO - the Water Park is on your doorstep - a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk away, close to the beach and a good supermarket, ice cream/cake shops and cafes, restaurants. Lots of lovely beaches and secluded coves, Go-Karting, Riding, Cycling, Hiking. Plenty of daily street markets. Visit Mini Hollywood Theme Park for the day in the Tabernas Desert. Mojacar Pueblo, the picturesque whitewashed old town with narrow streets,shops and restaurants on the hilltop above Mojacar Strip, famous for its beaches, shopping and bars/restaurants, is less than 15 mins away by car (there are buses too). There are a few small marinas nearby in Villaricos and Garrucha, a larger one in Almeria. 2 hours away by car is Granada and the Alhambra Palace. The Sierra Nevada mountains and ample skiing are also a 2 hr drive away, close to Granada.
GOLFERS: DESERT SPRINGS - a 10 min drive from our apartment (we believe Ian Botham has purchased a villa here) an 18 hole, par 72 course designed by Peter McEvoy. The first desert course in Europe, lush fairways, water features and desert terrain including cacti VALLE DEL ESTE - 5 minute drive. 18 hole, par 71. A country club as well as a great course with elevated tees, lush greens and water features. MARINA GOLF on MOJACAR PLAYA - a 15 minute drive. 18 hole, par 72. Fairways adjacent to the sea, 3 lakes, a mountainside 3rd tee, challenging and invigorating
