The properties are located 5 miles from the main Ring of Kerry route. The area has a long and historic connection with the 2 Skellig Islands, which lie seven miles from the mainland. To appreciate the beauty of Ballinskelligs Bay and its beautiful Blue Flag beach, (to the west of which stands the ruins of McCarthys Castle), stroll the peaceful sandy shore with its miles of magical colour. Take the high road to Bolus Head and visit the artists at work in the restored famine village of Cill Rialaig. Visit the Cill Rialaig Art and Heritage Centre in Dungegan and view the paintings and other works of art. A visit to the Skellig Chocolate Factory is a must where you can sample the irresistible brandy and champagne truffles made there. Other local amenities include the championship golf course in Waterville, made more famous from renowned golfers such as Tiger Woods and the late Payne Stewart playing there. The area would also be famous for both sea and lake fishing.

This was a wonderful house to stay in. Very well maintained and equipped with all mod cons. It is a shot walk to a beautiful Blue Flag beach where water sports are available. This is how self catering should be with all the things you have at home. Horse riding, Championship golf courses and some terrific hill walking are all close by. The scenery is really breathtaking and is worth the trip. A 10 minutes drive will get you to the nearest town. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this house to everyone. It was lovely and clean and comfortable. It really felt like a home from home. We will definitely return and soon!

This is heaven! We wanted to trace our roots to Ireland and when we finally did we found the most wonderful house and owners to make us feel at home. This house is fantastic, clean with all modern amenities, loads of room, warm with the most awesome view in the world. I highly recommend this house to any traveler. We can’t wait to return. Brilliant, modern, warm, great beds, all new facilities, clean, plenty of room, magnificent views this house is a dream in a location that is paradise. waking up and looking out on the bay is the perfect way to spend a holiday. A+++
