Our villa offers our guests a home from home: since it is our home for much of the year, it is equipped with every conceivable comfort and convenience. Sleeping 8 people comfortably and up to 10, plus 1 or 2 babies, the place is ideal for a large group or a couple of families. There is plenty of space for people to find a quiet private corner even when the house is full. Sunshine for most of the year will mean you'll spend much of the time outside, but there are plenty of indoor activities to occupy everyone, even teenagers and small children: movies, games, toys, books--and of course the internet! Adjacent to the property is one of the region's top equestrian centres, a bonus for horse-lovers and those keen to improve their riding skills! The surrounding countryside offers lots of hiking and biking trails, although you don't need to leave our garden to enjoy all sorts of wildlife: from our terrace people have spotted eagles, hares, lizards, foxes - even wild boar!

The Var boasts beautiful landscapes, both mountains and sea, and a sunny Mediterranean climate. The regional capital Brignoles is a lively market town, famed for its wild mushrooms, olives, sheep's cheese and superb rose wine. In addition to an excellent market on Saturday, the town has several supermarkets, good restaurants and plentiful leisure activities. In August the town hosts a spectacular three-day medieval festival. The central location of the Var/our villa gives a unique opportunity to explore the whole of Provence/Cote d'Azur. To the north are hill-top medieval villages, to the south idyllic beaches along the coast between St. Tropez and Toulon. The local area is steeped in history: spectacular Roman architecture can be found around Arles, Avigon and Aix. For those who seek more excitement the proximity of the motorway means that the lively cities of Nice, Marseille and Monte Carlo are easily reached for a day trip of shopping, museums, art galleries or even gambling!

Surrounded by flat lawn & wooden decking, perfect for sunbathing on our teak sun beds. Shade also provided by gazebo. Summer kitchen with tiled patio shaded by a vine trellis and mature apple trees, choice of 4 different BBQs (including state-of-the-art gas fired). On-site parking for at least 4 cars. Paddocks inhabited by our four-legged neighbours from the riding centre next door.

Additional On-Site Services: Our property manager Martine lives on site and provides a range of services to guests. If you require a meal upon arrival--ideal if you get there late in the day--she will prepare a simple but delicious home-cooked meal using fresh local produce and salad from our garden. She will also cater for you during your stay, bake fresh bread, prepare picnics or do the shopping for you. Martine will organize or help you arrange any activities you wish to do. And if your goal is to improve your French she will happily give conversation lessons to adults and children! She will even do the occasional child-minding or baby-sitting if the grown-ups want some 'me time.' Just let us know in advance if you require any additional services and Martine will take care of it. Prices available upon request.
