82 Villa Park is located on the beautiful Bodrum Peninsula. The area is nicknames the new St Tropez and with fantastic sea views, great seafood restaurants and clear blue seas for swimming it’s not hard to see why (and at half the price!). Just a walk or short drive from the beach, Quiet and peaceful, Romantic and perfect for family holiday. Only 30-40 minutes from the larger resorts such as Bodrum. The apartment has easy access to all amenities, including shops, the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. The self catering apartment benefits from being on a fantastic complex with large infinity pool, Turkish baths, play area, tennis courts, bar and shop all on site. A spacious balcony offers stunning sea views, furnished with a table and chairs and BBQ to enable you to dine al fresco. The property is located on the Bodruim Peninsuala guaranteeing great beaches and swimming and relaxation. It is situated between two main resort towns:: Bodrum and Gumusluk. Bodrum is one of Turkey's premier tourist destinations and boasts a variety of attractions including the castle, a huge marina as well as lots of quality bars, restaurants, cafes, beaches, piers and great water sports. Gumusluk is quieter, more romantic offering waterside dining and quality restaurants with fresh seafood as well as a superb night market and beach promenade. Smaller seaside villages and locations along the coast offers yet more beaches, local markets, shops leisure activities. The area is very close to the Greek islands and sailing trips on traditional Gulet's offer a great day trip with good snorkelling, fishing and swimming a must! Other recommended daytrips include a traditional Turkish Mud Bath, huge water park, jeep safari and if you can brave it the camel fight!

The property itself was excellent - clean and beautifully furnished. However the promised TV, Satellite and Hi fi system as well as the microwave were not present.
The description of the ameneties at the complex were extremely misleading - the sauna, gym and turkish baths were in the process of being built (this despite one of the guest book entries extolling the virtues of the on site Turkish bath). The description also said there was an on site supermarket - again this was untrue.
The apartment is in an extremely isolated position - the nearest town, beach and supermarket were a 10 minute taxi ride away. There was no direct bus route to and from the site.Finally the desription suggests that it is suitable for the elderly and infirm - the site is very hilly and there are a number of steps from the apartment to the pool and entrance/exit to the site.
We felt we would have benefitted from having more information regarding the nearby towns- which beaches were best, on what days did the nearby towns have their markets, where the nearest supermarkets were - we chatted to some people who lent us the notes they prepared for their guests and these were excellent.

I would certainly recommend Turkey as a resort for a holiday but sadly not this apartment.
