Environment:
The Suite is hidden away at the back of a lovely building (newly renovated and landscaped), looks on to the gardens on all sides, and is wonderfully quiet for the centre of Paris. There is a guardian (French concierge). The neighbourhood was once home to many of France's most famous artists, the heart of 1920s Paris, and is now one of the most sought after on the Left Bank. The building and neighbourhood are safe at all hours, and there are endless, bustling cafes, bistros within a few blocks (3 on NYT critic Patricia Well's list of favourites’), as well as two grocery stores, an excellent baker, butcher, Italian ice cream parlour, museums, movie theatres, jazz... . Within a 10-minute walk is the famous Bon Marche department Store, Gare Montparnasse and all forms of transportation to all points Paris and Charles De Gaulle. But walking or jogging in the park or through St. German Des Pres is best. All of our guests are special.
GUESTS HAVE SAID:
The apartment really is close to everything. A cafe and bakery are 1 minute in one direction. A small grocery story is one minute in the other direction. The Jardin de Luxembourg is a great place to walk and run. The subway stops are close and walking is very possible to central Paris - Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Bon Marche, Louvre, Tour Eiffel - all while shopping on the streets along the way. So many restaurants and cafes within a couple of minutes walk. Joe helped with getting settled and it was great that John called after we arrived. The free long distance calls applies to fixed lines in Canada as well. A great place to stay.

The comments from the previous guests summed it all up: The Luxembourg Suite is a perfect, luxurious and fun place to stay specially for children. The kids absolutely love it. Everything that has importance to children was within walking distance: the great bakeries, the ice cream parlor and the Luxembourg garden. The thoughtful welcoming basket was the personal touch that woved the children. The Guestbook was tremendously helpful. Joe, the manager was efficient, friendly, personable and professional.
Our experience at the Suite was so wonderful that the kids did not want to leave! They have already asked if we could come back to the Suite next year. Thank you so much for making my nieces' first French vacation a memorable and perfect one.
