Town Centre Falmouth.Three minutes walk to the High Street and twenty minutes walk to the beach.. Newly refurbished cottage with double glazing and gas central heating in a very convenient position just above the Quay in a quiet spot and yet just a very short walk to all the High Street shops and restaurants. The property has three double bedrooms and a single. Each room has high quality beds and linen. It also benefits from a new kitchen with intregal hob and oven. There is a small walled and secluded garden to sit in and perhaps have a barbecue.

  • The toilet is separate from the bathroom . The bathroom has been totally refurbished and now benefits from a powerful shower and deep bath. The entire room is tiled and very bright and new The bathroom facilities are downstairs.

  • Each bedroom has new and comfortable beds with latex mattresses.the linen is provided and is to a high standard . Each room has fitted carpet newly laid in 2007. There is more than adequate wardrobe space and chests of drawers.. the double bedrooms upstairs have some period features and large windows overlooking Falmouth . the single bed is on a platform and therefore suitable for a young adult or child. The double room downstairs is the largest and has its own desk and easy chair.

Notes: TV has freeview. There are two settees and an armchair in the lounge. The kitchen is fully fitted ,tiled and integrated. The kitchen has a small table to eat at or sit in the garden or on the sitting room sofas. There is single yellow line parking outside the house, or park 24 hours in nearby streets 3 minutes walk, or in the Quarry Car Park adjacent.

sailing: Greatest centre for sailing in SW. Public slips and storage. Regatta Week. Falmouth buzes with saiing activity and has a host of shops supporting the sailing lifestyle. Every evening the harbour is full of moored yachts and the town restaurants fill up with people who demand good quality and well presented food. During the day fabulous oyster boats race within the estaury with magnificent sails looking like giant butterflies skimming the surface of the water.

Falmouth Town centre: Falmouth has a good variety of shops from M&S and W H Smith to smaller local outlets which are in fact more interesting. It is possible to spend hours browsing in the antique and bric a brac stores and of course there are many surf shops. Restaurant abound in Falmouth. All types of cuisine is possible. There are very good Thai, Nepalese, Indian etc restuarants but best of all are the Fish restaurants.. If your budget will allow then we could recommend a different venue each night and all would be excellent. Pubs are friendly and live music is playing in at least two of the towns inns every night. Jazz, Blues, Folk, Oldies, you name it and it there. Falmouth also has an indoor Pavillion with international artists performing throughout the summer.

Beaches, local sights and walking : Falmouth has three beaches, all have blue flag status. Water is clean and clear and all three beaches have sand. It is easy to walk from our cottage to the beaches. Coastal paths of course are what some people come for, through National Trust land, coves, headlands, probably the best scenery in UK. Bodmin Moor is close, and St Ives, the Lizard, Lands End, Stone Circles are all within easy reach by car.

There was very nice weather the week we stayed at the Bolt House, but you cannot be outdoors all the time so it does help if the location is easy and convenient.Less than 5 min walk to town centre, 5 min walk to seafront and maybe 20 min to the main beaches.You do not have to use the car again if you spent your time in Falmouth.

Nice and clean,plenty of space even for 7 people, well-equipped kitchen,powerful shower, pretty garden.

The owners are nice and easy people too.

Grateful for the wonderful experience.
