Villa in Mar Menor Golf Resort, Torre Pacheco, Costa Calida, Murcia, Spain. This luxury villa offers a private garden and pool with hot tub in a superb location on secure 5 star golf resort, just 5kms away from a safe, sandy, family-friendly beach in Mar Menor, Europe's largest salt water lagoon. The property sleeps up to six people and has three bedrooms. Mar Menor Golf Resort is a self-contained 'gated' resort with Mediterranean-style villas, townhouses and apartments. It is also has a nine-hole golf course, five star Intercontinental hotel, on-site supermarket, range of restaurants and bars, a luxury spa and communal resort pool. The resort is one of seven new Polaris World Golf Resorts being built in the Murcia area.

The local area offers plenty of sandy beaches and is ideal for watersports enthusiasts. Local sports include fishing, sailing, windsurfing and swimming. Other activities included cycling and horse riding. Mar Menor's beach is also perfect for families as the water is calm, warm and shallow. Walking is also popular along the beach promenade. The local town (Los Alcazares) which is a 10 minute drive offers plenty of supermarkets, banks, souvenir shops, bars, pizzerias and restaurants and tapas restaurants. Guests are also approx. 1 hours' drive from Terra Mitica Theme Park in Benidorm and many other waterparks in the Alicante area including Aqualandia. Approx. 30 minutes' drive from Torre Vieja Aquopolis (waterpark open between 8th June to 31st August)

Additional information about rental rates

  • Booking notes: £100 non refundable deposit, per week, is required to hold the villa. Full payment should be made eight weeks before arrival. Check in is at 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is at 11am on the day of departure. Bookings over the Christmas and New Year periods are £550 a week. Short term bookings are available from £80 a night, plus a £65 cleaning fee. A cleaning fee is including for a week or more bookings.
  • In addition, a separate £150 security deposit is required when booking. Please note: your security deposit is fully refundable within seven days after your holiday, providing there is no damage during your stay. For all bookings made outside the UK, a £15 bank transfer fee applies.
  • If you require the hot tub to be heated there is an additional charge per £35 week. A high chair or cot can be provided on request, starting from £20 each a week. A welcome pack for Sunday and late arrivals can also be organised for just £20 and includes: bread, 1 milk, some sachets of tea, coffee and sugar, 1 orange juice, 2 bottles of mineral water, butter, jam or marmalade and a bottle of wine (red or white).

    Please note: Mar Menor is a 9-hole golf resort which is currently being extended to an 18-hole golf resort with additional apartments, there is building work outside the resort perimeter.

Costa Calida beaches: 10 minutes by car to the glorious, gently sloping sandy beaches of the Mar Menor Lagoon. Awarded the Blue Flag standard for their quality and cleanliness, the beaches in this area are ideal for young and old. If you like to explore, the region's quaint fishing village of 'Cabo de Palos' offers many restaurants serving delicious, local cuisine and seafood. 20 minutes' drive from La Manga and 30 minutes' drive from beaches in the Mediterranean.

Local area: Torre Pacheco 2km Los Alcazares 8km The historic city of Murcia is 30km from the resort and offers modern and historic culture. Cartagena 20km, is a Roman city with a beautiful lively Port and many cafe bars and restaurants. All amenities including banks, supermarkets and restaurants are very close by. There are many other facilities at the resort, which are available to villa guests.

Places of interest: Approx. 2 hours' drive to Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Approx. 3.5 hours' drive to Madrid. Approx. 45-50 minutes' drive to Alicante, well know for it's popular water and theme parks. Approx. 30 minutes' drive from Cartegena, a historic port city. A local shopping complex called 'Dos Mares' with an enormous supermarket, many restaurants and a cinema is 20 minutes' drive away.

Golf: The villa is situated on the beautiful Mar Menor Golf Resort (currently 9-holes) but will extend to 18-holes in the near future. There are many other golf courses in the area including La Manga, Mosa Trajectum and Torre Pacheco, which is a par 3, nine-hole course. Other golf courses include La Finca, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Hacienda Del Alamo; all courses are within 20 minutes' drive from the villa.

Other Activities: The resort is ideal for walking and cycling.
