Our family get together consisted of 9 adults and 3 children.We were all amazed at the size of the property and took a few hours to get your bearings.Loads of cooking utensils,board games and books.Some good old videos,but had a dvd if you want to take some to watch.We had 1 out of 9 mobile phones that worked.Vodaphone at front of house.I got a signal half way uphill on the Offas Dyke Path !on tmobile.The pool was brill.At least half a dozen times the cover came off in 3 days and it rained on one day.We would go back to this house and we dont usually say this.The info about the property you get when booking was a great idea.Saved us probably breaking something!

A fantastic break in a very nice property with plenty of space for lots of family

The barn kitchen was very spacious along with the barn lounge area and en suite barn bedroom

The main part of the house was fantastic as well - especially the snug room and the open log fire - a hit with the older kids

Downsides - no mobile coverage unless you are on vodafone (at front of the house)

no internet access

no sky tv or freeview

garden could be bigger but good enough

bathrooms in the house could do with locks on

i suppose the downsides are great if you want to get away from it all for a few days

also - on the same road approx 500 yards away is the millenium green area which is open for public use to play football / cricket - plus the primary school opposite is also avail for public use not in school hours - there is a slide and some climbing frames

overall a fantastic break for a few days

WEEK OF REST

This is our second time at Wellfield, we are a group of 5 families who use this time to relax from our busy schedules, and enjoy each others company with the children. Open fires are a warming welcome, wood provided is a blessing. The only thing that we need to bring with us is, food and wine of course! and eggs of the "Easter Egg Hunt"

The property was very well maintained and clean, if a problem occured (on a bank holiday) it was rectified immediately. There are plenty of walks to go on and the village of Clun is a 5 min drive. Locals very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

I only wish we could have used the swimming pool as the kiddies were itching to get in as the weather was so beautiful. ( mind you so were the adults )

The only thing missing is a phone, maybe a pay phone installed would be helpful as there is no signal for our mobile phones! ( I dont know if this is a negative )
And a local newspaper shop to walk to! or maybe we have not found a quicker way to get to Clun walking!

Overall we had a wonderful time again and hopefully will return next year. Thanks Jill
