Situated in the charming area of the regional nature park of Quercy, La Grèze offers three gites for self catering guests in our carefully restored 18th century huge barn : ? Gite Amadour for 2 and a baby. ? Gite Fénelon for 4 to 6 (suitable for wheelchair users). ? Gite Champollion for 8 to 10. Set in two acres of lawns and well planted gardens, with a large (12m x 6m) fenced swimming pool and surrounded by open rolling countryside, La Greze is an ideal centre for cultural and gastronomic discovery in the beautiful Lot area, sports (cycling, walking, canoeing, golf...), or simply relaxing in the garden and swimming. We are within 7kms of Gramat, 12kms of Rocamadour, and St Céré, with the incredible caves of Padirac and Lacave nearby, as are many beautiful villages, and numerous restaurants, wherein to savour the local cuisine. La Grèze is just 90 minutes from Rodez airport, 2 hours from Toulouse airport, and the new Brive airport is about to open at the end of 2007.

This spacious gite on two floors can easily accomodate a large family or a group of friends, without feeling crowded. Outside, the large terrace (90 m²) over looks the back lawn and farmland. It has a BBQ, table and chairs and a parasol. The large kitchen/dining room is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas oven and hob, a dishwasher, microwave, utensils, cutlery and ample storage space. There is a huge farmhouse table with chairs. This leads in to the comfortably furnished sitting room which has plenty of seating, including a bed settee. French doors open on to the terrace. From the sitting room, there is a ground master suite with a king size bed (160 cm / 5ft.) and its private shower room with shower, basin and WC). From the sitting room, open tread oak stairs lead to the first floor. A large landing leads to one double bedroom, and two twin bedded rooms. There is another shower room with shower, basin and WC on this floor.

Situated between the Dordogne and the Lot valleys, in the regional nature park of Quercy, La Grèze is a centre from which to access the most beautiful places in the Lot : Nearby is the extraordinary village of Rocamadour with its old houses, churches and castle, the Padirac chasm (103m depth), Gramat with its regional market, Saint-Céré where lived Lurçat, the famous tapestry designer, the natural Autoire cirque, Montal and Castelnau castles, the old stone villages of Loubressac and Carennac-Fénelon. To the northwest, your drive will lead you to Martel, the 'seven towers city', to Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, beautiful mediaeval city, to Collonges-la-Rouge with its old red sandstone houses, to Turenne and Curemonte. You will fall in love with the Dordogne Valley and will visit the Lacave cave, the roman church in Souillac and Sarlat one of the most beautiful city, carefully restored with its mediaeval streets and Gothic or French Renaissance houses.
