Les Chimes Blanches are 4 star MGM built apartments with a swimming pool/hot tub/gym/spa complex. Our 90 sq m self catering apartment has 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms underground parking ski lockers WiFi and stunning views over the valley towards Les Arcs. It is based in La Rosiere at 1850 m and has direct ski access to the slopes. La Rosiere is a family friendly resort with excellent entertainment for all ages including great restaurants, bars, bowling and an Ice rink. Summer entertainment includes walking, horse riding, golf, mountain biking etc. Food/other shops are within 5 minutes walk or 5 minutes on the area ski bus. La Rosiere is part of L'Espace San Bernado with also includes La Thuile in Italy. There are 73 pistes (including 23 blues and 32 reds) covering 150 km. La Rosiere has good sunshine as south facing and La Thuile good snow as north facing. Off piste and Heli-skiing also available. We are 25 mins from Bourg St Maurice station and an easy drive from international airports.

Nearest Airport: Chambery/Grenoble/Geneva/Lyon at 100 Miles
Nearest Train: Bourg en Maurice at 10 Miles

Les Cimes Blanches is in the small resort of Les Eucherts which next to the village of La Rosiere. La Rosiere is at 1850m and is 10 miles/25 minutes from the town of Bourg St Maurice. Bourg St Maurice is the last stop for the twice weekly ski train from the UK. It is also close to airports at Chambery (2 hours/80 miles), Grenoble or Lyons (2.5 hours/100 miles) or Geneva (3 hours/150 miles). Car hire, taxis or mini bus pick up/drop off are easily available from all. There are large supermarkets (Intermarche and Super U) in Bourg St Maurice and there are small supermarkets/butchers/bakers in Les Eucherts (5 minutes from the apartment) and La Rosiere (5 minutes in the ski bus or 20 minutes walk through a scenic well lit path through the woods). Ski hire is available at Les Cimes Blanche or at a variety of local ski shops.Ski lessons for all levels are available through ESF or Evolution 2 in both Les Eucherts and La Rosiere. The ESF ski schools both include childcare facilities.

  • 3 Good sized bedrooms and sofa beds in living area. There is a lockable ski locker and boot cupboard (heated) on the ground floor. From the apartment block to the slopes is a few minutes ski and this takes you to the Papillon blue run and the Les Eucherts chair lift. The car park is underneath and fully secure.

La Rosiere generally has good sunshine as south facing and La Thuile good snow as north facing. La Rosière is the only resort in Savoie that can offer you helicopter drops over the Val d'Aoste massifs. After an unforgettable flight from the Petit-St-Bernard pass, fabulous off-piste itineraries await both skiers and snowboarders. These include skiing at altitudes of between 2900-3300m with drops of up to 2000m. The outings are supervised by high mountain guides and are made up of single or multiple drops. They are aimed at lovers of powder snow and wide open expanses.

PROS: Excellent, spacious, clean and well stocked apartment. The views across the valley are some of the best I've ever had. Skiing back to the apartment was not a problem and there is a couple of bars and restaurants local in an acceptable walking distance. The local bus service I found was reliable and on time.

CONS: Although skiing back was not a problem the ski out involved a bit of a hill climb before you put your ski's on. The supermarket was not particuarly well stocked.

Overall a nice little family orientated resort and I would certainly go again
