We've been to Casa Delphin a couple of times- we are a family with me (mum) & dad & two girls 26 & 22 years- once in the summer, once for New Year- both times we all had a fab time. The appt is lovely, clean and well equipped with an excellent outside area & pool, and off road parking. The town of Moraira is just right, good shops, fun bars for busy nights ( all ages welcome) & good restaurants for quieter ones. The beach is clean with soft sand,not too many stones for delicate feet and loungers etc for those that want them; rocks for fishing from & a cafe close at hand for snacks - the car park is close too & very reasonable - it does take about 20 minutes to walk and in the heat of the day is not for everyone - though we often walked into town in the evening so we could all try a cocktail or two!
Further afield there is alot to do and see; Water park, Waterfalls - an unexpectedly good day out, various towns & market days, loads of walks and Calpe Rock which is a must. The apartment has a newly fitted kitchen and is freshly decorated throughout-the lounge is spacious, and cool in the summer with a couple of big sofas for lounging on and watching the telly if thats your choice. The winter trip was really good,as the apartment was warm & snug, and virtually everything was open- we hadnt arranged anything for new years eve until the day- out for a coffee we came across the Chinese on the sea front, booked in and had one of the best New Years ever, set meal, all- in complete with Chinese fireworks- definitely to be reccommended.
The owners are friendly and see to anything that crops up in a ' smashing cool Irish' way which we all loved- not at all pushy, and they have a folder with all sorts of infomation to give you a head start when planning days out. There is a welcome pack to get you started and the supermarket is very close - but with the villa at the top of a hill hiring a car is a must in our opinion; the hosts will collect from the airport but having the freedom to get about adds heaps to the holiday & hire car is very reasonable.
This family love it - whether to relax & stay near the pool or get out and about, early nights or cocktails, Moraira has alot to offer - and at Casa Delphin we've made some friends for life- Happy Holidays !!
Owner's Response: It is always good to know that other people love the area as much as we do and it does help us to remember why we moved here.
