We had a fantastic weekend staying at the Shelter Stone House. The house more than exceeded our expectations, it was allot bigger than we expected and the overall presentation was fantastic. We stayed in January and the snow was the icing on the cake to top off the entire weekend. Our party (all 12 of us) managed to go skiing on the Saturday, it was no more than a 5 minute drive to the slope and the owner recommended a fantastic ski heir shop (a 2minute walk from the house) which also sold ski passes, this saved us queuing on arrival. After a long day skiing and a couple of bruised bottoms, we headed into town and sampled a few of the local bars and pubs. The atmosphere was great and it was a short walk (stumble) home, no more than 5minutes.
The house would be perfect for family breaks, birthday weekends or just a good catch up. Even if you don’t fancy the local bars, the house has a lovely living room and dining room perfect for home entertainment. I could not fault thins house and will be recommending it to all my friends. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

The house really lends itself to groups like this and there always seems to be plenty of space.....and for the summer the garden furniture and bbq is there too!...We can always order flowers or have wine chilled for that extra occasion.
