There are several beaches in Moraira, the main one being Platja de Ampolla, a curved sandy beach with something for everyone: clean, safe swimming, a Red Cross station, lifeguard, restaurant, bar, toilets. At one end are rock pools for children to play in. Platja de Ampolla is a 15 minute walk or a few minutes drive. Even nearer to the villa is the Cala Andrago, a pretty sandy cove with a fabulous restaurant overlooking the beach. On the other side of town is El Portet beach, with stunning views over the clear turquoise waters of the bay. The beaches on this stretch of coast have won awards for being among the cleanest in Europe. The nearby towns of Calpe to the south, and Javea to the north, also have good beaches. The choice of restaurants and bars in Moraira and the surrounding area is spectacular. A file of information available to visitors at the villa gives recommendations on good places to eat.
