This pretty detached villa is 15 min walk/ 3 min drive from Moraira's town centre and Blue Flag beaches. There are two double bedrooms, family bathroom with bath and shower, spacious living/dining room with comfortable sofa bed, and a new well-equipped American-style kitchen. The south-facing terrace has sliding glass doors for al fresco dining, a balcony, and steps down to a beautiful private garden with lemon, orange, oleander and palm trees. The garden gate can be locked to prevent small children accessing the pool area, which is a few steps away through lush gardens. The master bedroom and the living area have air-conditioning/heating units and electric fans in the second bedroom. There are radiators in all rooms, and a wood-burning stove in the living room. Mosquito screens on all windows. Private car parking. Sat. TV with English channels, DVD and CD player. Outside furniture includes sun-loungers, tables, chairs, beach chairs and parasols.

There are several well-known resorts near Moraira that are well worth visiting: Javea, Calpe, Denia (the ferry port to Ibiza) and Benidorm. Within easy reach are Terra Mitica, Aqualandia and Mundomar theme parks. The countryside around Moraira is particularly beautiful, including the spectacular Jalon Valley, which is a walker's paradise, ranging from a gentle stroll to a six-hour walk around the Sierra Bernia mountains. In Ondara there is a new huge shopping centre 'La Marina'. Javea has a cinema showing movies in English.

  • 2010 RENTAL RATES NEGOTIABLE. Payment accepted in either sterling or euros, by bank transfer (exchange rates at time of firm booking)
  • Booking conditions: 25% of the rental rates for the period secures the booking. The balance, and a refundable damage deposit of £150 (or equivalent in euros) are payable 8 weeks before the arrival date, The rental rates are based on 4 people sharing. Up to two extra guests could be accommodated on the very comfortable king size sofa bed at an additional charge of 20 euros per week to cover extra cleaning and laundry.
  • The rental rates include electricity/gas, heating/air conditioning, towels/linen, laundry, and cleaning after departure. There are no hidden extras. The damage deposit will be reimbursed a few days after guests' departure, when the villa has been inspected by the keyholder.

Notes: The front entrance to the villa is accessible for the elderly or infirm. However, there is a flight of steps from the terrace at the back of the villa to the garden leading to the pool and communal areas, which may be a problem for the infirm. Golf.: There are two golf courses near Moraira. Golf Iffach, on the coast road to Calpe, has nine holes with a club house serving food. The Micheta restaurant above it has both à la carte menu and set menus. Barbecues on Wed, Sat and Sun nights. Five minutes drive from Moraira is Javea golf course, also a nine-hole, with food available.

Beaches, restaurants and bars.: There are several beaches in Moraira, the main one being Platja de Ampolla, a curved sandy beach with something for everyone: clean, safe swimming, a Red Cross station, lifeguard, restaurant, bar, toilets. At one end are rock pools for children to play in. Platja de Ampolla is a 15 minute walk or a few minutes drive. Even nearer to the villa is the Cala Andrago, a pretty sandy cove with a fabulous restaurant overlooking the beach. On the other side of town is El Portet beach, with stunning views over the clear turquoise waters of the bay. The beaches on this stretch of coast have won awards for being among the cleanest in Europe. The nearby towns of Calpe to the south, and Javea to the north, also have good beaches. The choice of restaurants and bars in Moraira and the surrounding area is spectacular. A file of information available to visitors at the villa gives recommendations on good places to eat.

Sightseeing and General.: Moraira is ideally situated between many other well-known Costa Blanca resorts. To the south, the coast road from Moraira to Calpe (15 minutes) is a wonderful scenic drive. Just beyond Calpe is Altea, it's hillside old-town renowned for artists. Benidorm, with its wide sandy beaches, numerous shops, bars, restaurants and lively entertainment is just 30 minutes drive along the motorway. A 30 minute drive to the north of Moraira is Denia, from which there is a daily ferry to Ibiza (a four-hour crossing). Inland, the beautiful Jalon Valley is well worth a visit. The town of Jalon is famous for its 'bodegas' where visitors can sample the local wines. There are 'rastros' (flea markets) in Jalon (Saturday morning) and Teulada (Sunday morning). Moraira, and many nearby towns have a market day, selling fruit, vegetables, local specialities, clothes and household goods.

Pretty villa with beautiful surroundings

We had a wonderful 10 days at Casa Limon in late September 2008.

The villa has everything you need and more, we particularly liked the personal touches the villa is obviously used by the owners as it's really cosy and homely too. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are really comfortable, this was such a bonus as very often beds can be uncomfortable in holiday lets.

The surrounding area is beautiful, the beaches the shops I really can't fault it. We particularly liked The Olive Tree Deli in the town (they have wifi) and The Olive Tree Restaurant just outside of town was excellent too.

A perfect holiday, we will definitely go back again but not late September as the weather was a disappointing. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxed holiday, with children (as amenities perfect for children) and who enjoy their home comforts.

A holiday to remember.

This delightful property is perfectly situated in the town of Moraira within easy reach of restaurants and bars and the beach.

The development is stylish amidst mature trees and lush vegetation and has a feeling of space with far reaching views.

We visited other holiday developments but felt that Casa Limon belonged to a more spacious, stylish area of Moraira where villas had been built with quality in mind.

The terrace is a dream and any visitor would never tire of relaxing there with a glass of Spanish wine in hand either reading, admiring the view or enjoying a paella.

The inside of the villa is very attractive with a lovely, open plan feel to the property, A beautifully appointed kitchen and lounge are on offer and cosy bedrooms which offer everything a visitor could need.

We loved our stay at Casa Limon and would be happy to return every year. We would never consider other properties and feel that this one has everything we could possibly need. It has a lovely feeling to it with a friendly comfortable atmosphere.

The property is beautifully appointed and has been set up for visitors with an unusually high attention to detail. The owners must want visitors to enjoy their holiday as much as they do themselves and this comes across. The property was scrupulously clean and well maintained.

The owner provided excellent customer service and nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend the property to all our friends and have already done so.

We actually didn't come across any activities or attractions we disliked. Possibly a Greek restaurant in town was a little disappointing as we'd both spent time in Greece and this didn't live up to our memories. Also anyone wanting a fast pace of night life may not find this in Moraira.

We loved the area and it would be difficult to run out of activities. It's also very scenic with a wild, Spanish flavour to it.

We cannot emphasise what a wonderful place Casa Limon is to visit and our only surprise is why the rental charges are so low. Anyone wanting to have a break away should surely take advantage of such an idyllic spot which is obviously loved and cared for by the owners and yet they are happy to share this cherished property with like minded visitors. Please visit and enjoy.

Wonderful Stay at Casa Limon

We had an absolutely lovely time at Casa Limon. The location is perfect - Moraira is a real gem of a town, pretty and relatively undeveloped but big enough to have interesting bars and shops. Very hard to believe that Benidorm is not so far away.

Local beaches very pretty and underused while we were there. Lots of good restaurants - but we preferred cooking at home. Days on the beach, long evenings on the verandah with fresh fish from the market on the BBQ and lemons from our own lemon tree...this is as good as Spain gets.

Can't think of any downsides. House is roomy and facilities excellent. A car would be handy but not essential. The pool (very clean) is shared with a couple of other villas - but when we were there no-one else seemed to be using it.
