Villa Melagrana is a pretty country house with sun terraces and gardens. It's ideally located near to the beautiful towns of Ceglie Messapica and Ostuni. Perfect for a family holiday, romantic getaway or a break with friends. The house sits within 3/4 of an acre of grounds with olive, pomegranate, almond, lime and other trees. There are many fantastic beaches within 20 mins drive. Plus amazing restaurants, shopping and historic towns such as Ostuni, Lecce, Gallipoli, Oria and Manduria and all within easy reach. The villa also has a large above ground private pool and outdoor shower.

In the heart of Puglia, near the famous Itria Valley and towns such as Ostuni and Alberobello, this is a totally unspoilt region of Italy, that Italian holiday makers have long tried to keep to themselves. Bordered by two seas, the Adriatic to the East and the Ionian to the West, it offers miles of unspoilt coastline to explore, as well as pine forests, stunning towns, olive groves and vineyards. A food and wine lover’s paradise, Puglia produces much of the fruit and vegetables for the rest of Italy, and has 23 D.O.C wines. The villa will contain a local information pack with details of restaurants, shops, towns and beaches. The Zoo Safari and theme park at Fasano is a great day out for the kids, and only 40 mins drive. Lecce, often called the Florence of the South, is just a 1 hour drive away. Brindisi Airport - 30min. Bari Airport - 1 hour. Naples Airport - around 4 hours. We can arrange a meet & greet from either Brindisi or Bari airports.

A perfect villa in Puglia

Villa Melagrana is the perfect place to relax in a great deal of comfort. It is immaculately clean and cared for and contains everything, both adults and children need, for a fabulous holiday It is centrally located in the Valle d'Itria with its delightful countryside, lovely trulli houses and picturesque towns. We loved the local beaches with the sand dunes, the beautiful, clear torquoise sea and the really cool beach bars at Bosco Verde.

The sightseeing highlight was our visit to Matera in Basilicata. It is about a two hour drive, but well worth it. We stayed overnight, in the lovely Caveoso Hotel, so we could enjoy sunset over the Sassi and a fantastic evening meal in La Botteghe restaurant.

There is so much to see and do in Puglia and we left knowing that we would have to return. When we return, next year, we will definitely stay at Villa Melagrana.

Wonderful holiday

We had a wonderful holiday and really enjoyed staying at the villa. It was a great base and the pool was brilliant for those days when we didn't head out until later. We loved the area and found the local people really helpful and friendly. We had a really great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa to others.

If you want to experience the real Italian lifestyle this is the place to be. Well equipped and tastefully furnished villa surrounded by picturesque countryside. 2 min drive to nearest restaurant well worth a visit. Beautiful beaches within easy reach by car. Ostuni beautiful by night a must see.

Immaculate villa, perfect for exploring Puglia

An immaculately clean, well stocked and charmingly furnished villa surrounded by a large and very productive, garden full of olive, almond & citrus trees, plus vines. This beautiful villa is in a secluded rural area perfect for exploring the nearby olive groves on foot. The nearby towns of Ceglie Messapica and Ostuni are within easy driving distance for shopping, great restaurants and beaches. Further afield the Baroque churches of Lecce and the trulli of Alberobello are not to be missed! The Sparks Family

Excellent Villa in Ceglie Messapica

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 week holiday in your immaculate villa and would certainly recommend the villa to friends and family. The local town of Ceglie Messapica had some fantastic restaurants, and we made some lovely friends with the locals. Nearby Ostuni at sunset is probably one of the most beautiful towns you will ever see. This is a truely unspoilt safe area of Italy with magnificient food, fabulous beaches and white washed towns to explore, the locals embrace tourists and really appreciate you attempting to speak their language. Thank you Jemma for sharing your piece of heaven with us. The Robinsons
