Wonderful view

The view and location made this holiday for us.
Walking down the hill in the morning to cross the bridge into Trogir old town, wander the narrow alleyways finding beautiful old courtyards, end up at the open farmers' market to buy great fresh organic fruit and vegetables, taste the local smoked ham and cheese, maybe get some fish for dinner. We'd need an ice cream to help make it back up the hill - spoilt for choice with so many flavours.
The beach is about a mile or 2 along a busy road, with few pavements but we were a group of 3 fit older adults, so no problem for us. We liked the shingle, clear water and good swimming, especially further round the bay. Then stop at a bar on the way home for a cold beer.
Eating out was good, restaurants on the waterfront and in the narrow streets of town had a good range of meals and prices were reasonable. The waterfront always has something happening, so it was delightful just to sit on our balcony with our own food and wine, watching the yachts come and go. There are ferries and buses so no need to have a car.
The apartment was clean and tidy, just as expected, quite spacious although the bunk room is cramped. Lovely big balcony. It's good having a washing machine though we felt the kitchen could be a bit better equipped (no coffee jug!) TV has a good range of channels including BBC world. There are some beach airbeds/ring, novels and lots of tourist leaflets provided.
Service was fine, The caretaker Liliana met me at the airport and her husband drove me to the apartment for 100 kuna. Going home I just got the local bus to the airport, very easy as it's only 10 minutes from Trogir. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, and in going again.
