Alkabir is a self-contained development of Moorish style houses located close to the sea and the Spanish Town of El Campello (Alicante). The Alkabir complex offers you a large swimming pool, well maintained gardens & walkways, several bars/restaurants and mini-market. There is a bay less than a 5 minutes walk from the house. The house sleeps up to four people. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms. One has a double bed and the other has two single beds. There is a shower room on this floor. All linen including towels is supplied. The house has the following amenities:- Modern kitchen, large fridge-freezer, dual/fuel cooker and microwave/grill, hair dryer, washing machine, iron, ironing board and drying area, CD player, TV/DVD player with Freeview English speaking channels . The roof terrace has sun loungers, reclining chairs and dining furniture and the patio in front of the house also has dining furniture You can access many local areas via the nearby tram and bus network.

Alkabir is an area located 3 kilometres north of the popular town of El Campello and 13 kms from the City of Alicante. There are many local activities within the area such as Scuba Diving, Golfing, Fishing, Volleyball, Tennis, Mini Golf etc. There are also plenty places of interest to visit such as the Busot caves, Alicante castle, Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia, Mundamar, Benidorm Palace which are all within 40 minutes of the property. There are 5 local golf courses within easy access of the complex with the nearest (Bonalba) just 3 kms away. Alternatively you can relax around the large communal swimming pool or take the short journey to El Campello and sunbathe on a beautiful golden sandy blue flag beach. You can also take in the sites of the Marina and the beautiful promenade which offers you an array of cosmopolitan restaurants, bars, shops and cafes. For those of you who are less adventurous you can stay within the complex and relax at one of its bars or restaurants.

At the front of the property there is a table and 4 chairs for outside dining. On the roof terrace there are 2 sun loungers, 2 reclining chairs and a sun umbrella. There are also 4 dining chairs and a folding dining table on the roof. Linen is provided except for beach towels.

The Beach and Complex: The pebbled beach is located within metres of the complex gates and offers plenty of space and protection from the wind, as the beach area is set in a picturesque bay. Also within the complex grounds, there is a choice of bars/restaurants, children’s play area, 5 a side football pitch and a boules area. The complex offers you the use of a beautiful communal swimming pool (1st June to 30th Sept). The pool is probably the largest in the locality. It has a huge swimming area and a children’s pool. There are showers, toilets and a large sunbathing area. A lifeguard is always on duty. Tapas, snacks and drinks are available from the poolside bar. A pool pass restricts entry exclusively to residents and guests of Alkabir, so the pool area is rarely crowded. There is a charge of 60 cents per day for entry. The pool was proving too popular with the locals of Campello so the pass and nominal charge was introduced.

Were to Go: El Campello is a beautiful old fishing village that has been transformed into a quiet tourist resort but is still one of Spain’s best kept secrets. Ample restaurants can be frequented along its main promenade and beautiful beach areas stretching for over 5 kilometres. Adjacent to the beach is a large marina and yacht club. Alicante City is a must and is only a pleasant 30 minute coastal journey away via the tram network

Travel: There is a local Tram station situated close to the complex which can access you to such places as El Campello and Alicante City to the South, Villajoyosa and Benidorm to the North. The Train can also take you as far as Denia along a scenic coastal route. There is a local bus service at the entrance of the complex which commutes into El Campello on an hourly basis. The airport is approximately 20-30 minutes drive.

The accommodation has absolutely everything you would ever need for a most enjoyable stay, it is very well kept & maintained, and everyone from the owners,agent & contact on site couldn`t be more helpful. There is a small pebble beach 5 mins walk away which is so very peaceful.
2 mins walk away you have places to eat at very reasonable prices also a very relaxing bar Cocktails & Dreams, the owners are so friendly.

We enjoyed our stay in this bungalow very much, but in order to be able to go to the beach (in El Campello=10 minutes) and other places of interest a car is rathet a must. In the Alcabir compound a small market and a few agreeable but simple restaurants are a few minutes walk.
The bungalow itself is roomy and adequate for 4 persons.
The service from the owner is good.
