Great value

Our party of 2 familes - 4 adults & 4 kids - was ideally catered for in this modern, well appointed home - with room to spare. The location offers lovely views of the hills towards Grasse and we enjoyed very warm temperatures throughout - not surprising in August! The pool remained at 27-28C morning, noon and night, with plenty of lounging chairs and a very useful outdoor kitchen including fridge. Table tennis also in this area - under cover and wind free. Quite a few steps up to the house but manageable for all but the least sprightly. We received a very friendly welcome and many useful tips on arrival. The local supermarket has everything you'd need and is less than 5 minutes away. A car is necessary. Sky tv on site is a boon, although only basic channels - forgot to bring our viewing card - doh! - wouldn't have minded catching the cricket! Anyway - we heartily recommend this place with only two reservations: 1) We were steadily attacked by mosquitos throughout the trip. Obviously this problem is not unique to this property and anti-bug plug in devices were provided so it wasn't too bad indoors and it was fine by the pool (virtually no wasps which is unusual in August) The problem was worst in the outdoor dining area on the verandah near the lawn. 2) It was very hot at night, despite the powerful fans provided throughout. Pre-sleep cold showers and full on fans combined with sleeping on top of the sheets just about did the trick. Air con would have been desirable. All that said, we would definitely return at the price we paid - excellent value for money in peak season Cote d'Azur.
