There are several small coves & beaches close by and also a naturist beach. The small resort of La Herradura with shops, small supermarkets, banks, ATM machines, restaurants and bars is just 5 minutes away. The bustling market town and resort of Almunecar is 6km to the east and the resort of Nerja is 15 mins to the west. Granada & the Alhambra palace is less than an hour away and the ski resort in the Sierra Nevada is an hour and a half by car. There are beautiful walks to be enjoyed in Alpujarras and lots of picturesque mountain villages & the famous Caves of Nerja to explore within a short distance. You have the choice of flying into Malaga (45 minutes), Granada (75 minutes) or Almeria (90 minutes).

Wonderful apartment with great views. The rising sun streaming through the bedroom window is not to be missed!
Very clean and well maintained with everything to hand that you might need - like a home from home. Lots of useful info provided by owners which was very helpful.
We loved the fact that it felt quite spanish (not too commercialised). The marina was lovely - although a little quiet when we went beginning of May - out of main season.
Would definitely need a car but lots of places to visit nearby make that worthwhile.
Would definitely go back again.

The apartment is really nice and exactly as described in details, including the view. I would recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet. It is a region where alot of Spanish families take their holidays which I liked.
It is situated around 5 mins drive from the nearest beach or 10-15 mins from beaches in the nearest town at Almunecar. There is a hotel a couple of minutes walk away with the nearest bars and restaurants about a 20-25 min downhill walk - return journey takes 30-35 min uphill. Definitely need a car.
