Outstanding stone built cottages set in a perfect romantic oasis within the heart of rural Crete. Lemon Tree Cottage - Sleeps up to 2 persons. A private cottage with its very own private pool and pretty enclosed gardens. A perfect romantic retreat for couples looking to chill out or celebrate a special occasion. Great for honeymooners! Lavender Cottage for 2 - 4 persons and Mandarin Cottage for 2 - 3 persons. Semi detached stone cottages with a shared pool and enclosed garden. Each cottage offers spacious living accommodation, a master bedroom (with 4 poster bed), air-conditiong, en suite bathroom and a jacuzzi bath for an extra special touch of elegance and romance. Lavender cottage has a separate twin bedroom with ensuite shower and WC. Mandarin cottage has an extra sofa bed. Comfortable, tasteful furniture throughout + extra modern touches such as satellite TV, CD/DVD player, i-Pod adapter plus wood burning stove for the cooler months. Each cottage has it's own private BBQ.

The interior of the cottage is all open plan. The bedroom area has a locally crafted cast iron queen size bed and is seperated from the living room. The cosy living area has a comfortable sofa, flat screen TV, DVD/CD player for your enjoyment plus a wood burning stove for the cooler months. The small fitted kitchen overlooks the pretty terrace, pool and gardens and there is an additional utility room that contains the washing machine, microwave, toaster, fridge, ironing board and iron. There is also a separate shower room and WC. The beauty of this cottage is the outside area which is completely enclosed and totally private with private pool and well established picturesque garden. The pool has been designed so that it offers gentle shelving roman steps and all of our guest enjoy the utter peace and tranquility our cottage offers. There are sunbeds to relax by the pool and a BBQ for your enjoyment. All in all a beautiful oasis in rural crete.

The Chania region of Crete offers some of the most interesting and beautiful landscapes in Greece. Our cottages are located in Litsarda, close to Vamos in the Apokoronas area of Chania. An area of outstanding beauty, the countryside lends itself to fascinating walks and cycle rides. The local village of Litsarda is just a few minutes stroll from our cottages to find a local pizzeria and shop selling basic essentials. Vamos is the main local village a 5 minute drive and provides many facilities including restaurants, local shops, bakery, butcher, chemist etc. There are 3 beaches within a 10 minute drive all of which are sandy and offer good facilities. Situated an equal distance between Chania and Rethymnon, our cottages provide an ideal base to explore west Crete. Some interesting days out to include Samaria Gorge for keen walkers and Elafonisi beach in south west Crete for beach lovers.

Guest Book: Mandarin Cottage: We felt extremely privileged to be the first occupants of Mandarin Cottage. You have created a truly wonderful, relaxing retreat. We loved all the attention to detail and the manner in while you have created a mini Venetian Mansion in which a couple can enjoy modern luxuries within a period property. We adored our spacious airy bedroom looking out over mountain views from the four poster bed. It is proving difficult to leave “our” Mandarin Cottage home. We hope to return in later Winter – early Spring to experience another facet of this rural idyll. very nice place to stay but parking was very difficult and the crowing cockerels woke me every morning, you need to be a heavy sleeper.you have to hire a car to stay here and be prepared to park it a long way from the cottage ,this would stop me staying again and i would not recommend it to any one else

little romantic paradise in Crete

We have only good memories from our short (unfortunately) accomondation in this great cottage. Its was even better than our expectations! the words could not describe the amazining feeling you get being there. It is indeed a litle paradise in a peaceful area full of green and cretan trafdition.

Moreover, the owners were really gentle, helpful and supportive in whatever we needed.

We are trying hard to find something negative to write but honestly there is nothing... not even the slightest little thing. And believe me... wife is a tough judge!

We plan to be back next September for a week of hapiness and relaxation.
