Moraira:
This stylish sophisticated town, once a small fishing village, has gradually and sympathetically grown to provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere, whilst retaining it traditional feel, with its eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and shops, It wonderful marina and beach, ideal for the independent holiday maker. A majority of the surrounding areas are privately owned villas therefore whilst it is not over crowded, it generates a warm friendly relaxed atmosphere. There is, in the high and peak season a nightly market, selling a range of products. Friday is market day, where they sell everything form fresh fruit and vegetables to bargain leather goods and cloths.
Calpe:
Within the Gran Sol area, there are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance . A wider diverse selection of restaurants can be found in the town Calpe, which is only a five minute drive away. There are three blue flag beaches, an array of bars, restaurants, shops and facilities to suit all tastes and purses, along with its busy harbor that offers numerous specialist fish restaurants. There is a street market each Saturday which sells everything from fresh produce to clothes and leather goods. The old town of Calpe, is steeped in tradition, it still has its original church, and cobbles streets and Castilian street lamps, You can find many Spanish eating here in the full range Tapas bars, cafe bars and good restaurants. There is often fiestas and precession through the old town.

The nearest airports are Alicante (81 kms/50 mins ) and Valencia (138/90mins). There are many web sites available for car hire.
Distance
Within the Gran Sol area, a 5 minutes drive away to Calpe blue Flag beaches. It is a 15 minutes drive to Madaira. A 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the local supermarket and the unspoilt small beach of La Fustera, where there is a beach bar opened during the high and peak seasons. Les Ballets diving and water sports is also just a few minutes drive.
Golf:
There are approx 8 excellent courses in the radius of half an hour. Here are a few of the nearby golf courses, Urbanisation San Jaime; Ctra Moraira-Calpe; Urbanisation Sierra, Altea. A little further 40 minutes drive away is two new 19 hole, courses in Benidorm.
