This new modern and luxuriously furnished three bedroom villa on a level plot is delightfully located within a secure gated, peaceful, small complex. It has got a private and communal pool. A 5 Min. drive to Calpe's blue flag beaches, with its array of bars, restaurants and shops. A 15 mins. Drive to the cosmopolitan port Moraira. A 15 Min. walk to the unspoilt beach La Fustera. Les Basetes diving and water sports is a few mins. Drive. The accommodation is open plan, consists of a spacious deluxe lounge and sitting area, a well equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite and sun terraces with great views. Outside there is a large terrace area for eating and sitting in the shade, whilst you while away those hot balmy Med. evenings. There is a barbeque, an extensive sun terrace; a kidney shaped alluring pool, set in a landscape garden. Other facilities include air conditioning, and central heating through out, TV, DVD, and parking for two vehicles.

Gran Sol is a quiet residential location offering unspoilt views. It's located between the cosmopolitan town of Moraira (approx 10kms) with its beautiful marina, restaurants and shops and Calpe (approx 4km) offers a wide range of amenities for a diverse range of tastes. The coast road between these towns claims one of the most delightful stretches in Spain, offering stunning panoramic views across the ocean with an abundance of both sandy and cobble coves and beaches along the way. Altea (approx 16kms) is a Pandora's box, the old town is definitely worth a visit. Theme parks such as Terra Mitica, Mundomar Marine and Animal Park and Aqualandia water park (aprox 31 km). Quadalest has a monestry and museums set high in the mountains (approx 34kms), Algar waterfalls is worth experiencing along the way. Heading north there is the cultural city of Valencia,highly recommend a visit and the port of Denia (approx 26 km) offers Spanish tradition as well as a chance to hop on a ferry to Ibiza.

    Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance. Prices include a clean on vacation and utility bills. Discounts available for long term lets. Payment options include cheque, bank transfer and credit card (2% fee).
    Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
    A 25% deposit is required with your booking, and the balance in full is payable 8 weeks before the holiday commences.
    There is also a £200 damage/breakage/security deposit payable with the balance, which is refundable after the end of the holiday.
    Discounts available for long winter lets.
  • Changeover day:
    Saturday is changeover day (may be more flexible off-peak). Villa should normally be vacated by 10am on the day of departure to allow the cleaner time to prepare for the next guest.

Others: The villa is air conditioned through out and fully central heated for the winter lettings. It has a ample size sun terrace for alfresco dining with a dining table, seating for six. Moraira: This stylish sophisticated town, once a small fishing village, has gradually and sympathetically grown to provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere, whilst retaining it traditional feel, with its eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and shops, It wonderful marina and beach, ideal for the independent holiday maker. A majority of the surrounding areas are privately owned villas therefore whilst it is not over crowded, it generates a warm friendly relaxed atmosphere. There is, in the high and peak season a nightly market, selling a range of products. Friday is market day, where they sell everything form fresh fruit and vegetables to bargain leather goods and cloths.

Calpe: Within the Gran Sol area, there are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance . A wider diverse selection of restaurants can be found in the town Calpe, which is only a five minute drive away. There are three blue flag beaches, an array of bars, restaurants, shops and facilities to suit all tastes and purses, along with its busy harbor that offers numerous specialist fish restaurants. There is a street market each Saturday which sells everything from fresh produce to clothes and leather goods. The old town of Calpe, is steeped in tradition, it still has its original church, and cobbles streets and Castilian street lamps, You can find many Spanish eating here in the full range Tapas bars, cafe bars and good restaurants. There is often fiestas and precession through the old town.

Travel/distance: The nearest airports are Alicante (81 kms/50 mins ) and Valencia (138/90mins). There are many web sites available for car hire. Distance Within the Gran Sol area, a 5 minutes drive away to Calpe blue Flag beaches. It is a 15 minutes drive to Madaira. A 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the local supermarket and the unspoilt small beach of La Fustera, where there is a beach bar opened during the high and peak seasons. Les Ballets diving and water sports is also just a few minutes drive.

Golf: There are approx 8 excellent courses in the radius of half an hour. Here are a few of the nearby golf courses, Urbanisation San Jaime; Ctra Moraira-Calpe; Urbanisation Sierra, Altea. A little further 40 minutes drive away is two new 19 hole, courses in Benidorm.

Wonderful villa, fabulous weather.

We stayed at this villa at the end of July 2009. The villa itself is every bit as good as the photos - the pool however is actually a lot bigger than it seems on the photo. We did go to the communal pool once but enjoyed the private pool much more! One of our party was disabled and found the stairs from the car to the property a bit tricky, but the villa was easy to get around on the ground floor.

You do need a car, which we knew having been to this area before. We tended to drive into Moraira to eat as it is very pretty compared to Calpe.

The only problem we had while there was with the air conditioning in the living room, and although reported no-one came to fix it. However as we spent most of our time outside this wasn't too much of a problem.

Overall we had a wonderful week, the weather as always was fantastic, and we would love to go back sometime.

A lovely, relaxing and peaceful stay...

I went with my 9 year old daughter and another friend with her son of a similar age for a week in July and we were not disappointed, indeed we had a lovely, relaxing and peaceful stay...

The villa is clean, modern and well equiped with a super open plan kitchen which feels central to the living accomodation - both inside and outside.

We were able to eat al fresco each morning and evening in relaxed and very private surroundings with only the sound of crickets to break the balmy still night air. The commmunal pool was just metres away and great for those who prefer to swim rather just splash around. The villa's own pool was an attraction for all us at anytime of the day however, especially for that late night dip!

The local shopping amenities are a short drive away and the Solmar Supermarket has everything (and more!) that we needed. Moraira is a delightful small local town where we ate some evenings, enjoying the local cuisine and our children were always made welcome.

I would thoroughly recommend this villa and would happily return there again too. It was a great 'get away' from it all break, with attractions and wonderful surroundings just on the doorstep. Enjoy!

Luxury Villa in Calpe

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Calpe. We were totally charmed by the villa from the start (the website description does not do it justice). It is extremely luxurious, expensively appointed, well-maintained and very secure for the children (it made for a relaxing holiday as we didn’t have to worry too much about the children). It is in a very quiet and peaceful location, tucked away, but yet close to other villas and the lovely typical Spanish country roads. The view from the master bedroom sun terrace was beautiful.

The private pool was perfect for both adults and children, and it was very clean. We used the large communal pool, just around the corner, a couple of times, and each time we had it all to ourselves. We were amazed by how quiet and the peaceful the complex was.

The accommodation is spacious with nice private gardens, so it was great for spending days and evenings, with plenty of room and seating outside (perfect if you have children that want to spend every waking hour in the pool).

The local Solmar supermarket, a few streets away, supplied us with everything we needed, and had lovely fresh produce.

The resort is quiet and idyllic, and it only takes 20 min to walk / 5 min to drive to the lovely quiet beach. We visited Moraira and enjoyed the marina, shopping and eating out, and most of all we enjoyed visiting the old and unspoilt town of Altea with its cobbled streets and what seemed like hundreds steps, with classic architecture. Here we dined in a lovely restaurant that sat on a terrace high on the hillside with amazing panoramic views, and then we watched the sun go down.

I unreservedly recommend this villa, it is the best we have ever stayed in, and the area is simply charming and unspoilt. We will definitely book the villa again when we return to Calpe.
