Villa Krinos is a new villa completed in 2007 and is set in 800sq.m. of landscaped gardens on the edge of the traditional village of Karavados. It has magnificent views of the sea, Mt. Enos and the island of Zakynthos. The first floor has 1 twin & 1 double bedroom - each with panoramic views of the sea & mountains from the large balconies - and a bathroom. The ground floor has a double bedroom, bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and dining room with terrace to the pool. The lounge room has comfy seating for 6, wide-screen TV, DVD, USB stereo sound system and an outdoor dining terrace leading to the pool. Outside is a large, tiled 9m x 4m infinity pool surrounded by stone paving, large greek style BBQ, umbrellas and table, chairs and sunbeds for 6. Shaded outdoor dining terrace off the livingroom allows for relaxed dining whilst overlooking the pool & garden. Perfect for enjoying the outdoor life and peaceful & relaxing holiday.

Villa Krinos is situated on the edge of the traditional Greek village of Karavados in southern Kefalonia. The villa is less than 15 minutes drive from the airport and the capital of Argostoli. Argostoli has an attractive seafront with restaurants, shops and the meat, fish and fruit & vegetable markets. At night the pedestrianised main square & shopping mall come alive with families, couples & people enjoying eating, drinking, just strolling and watching the world go by. Nearby to Karavados is the small town of Peratata (3.5km) which has a good range of shops and facilities - such as restaurants, bakery, cake shop (fantastic chocolates!), butchers, mini-markets, chemist, health centre, petrol station and bowling alley. Villa Krinos is in a quiet location but with several beaches, restaurants & shops within 5 kms., as well as two mini-markets in Karavados. 2km. (1.25 miles) away is the picturesque, sandy beach of St. Thomas with its crystal clear water, safe bathing & 2 tavernas & bar.

I had a very relaxing week with my kids. The pool is large and well maintained, and we spent much of the time relaxing between villa and pool. The villa has efficient air conditioning, and is well-placed near to a dozen fine beaches, mainly frequented by Greek families. The local tavernas were excellent. Highly recommended. Two medium sized rooms with a double bed, and one larger room with twin beds. All very clean and confortable. I would happily return to this villa. It is close to the airport, but in a quet village location.

Our week at Villa Krinos was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave. The villa is very spacious, larger than it looks in the photos. It is very well equipped and very quiet. The pool was fantastic - a great way to spend the afternoon! The villa located in a beautiful, quiet area perfect for relaxing and has lovely views all around. We highly recommend this villa to anyone and would definitely consider returning!

An excellent week in June 2009 at Villa Krinos

Our holiday at Villa Krinos was most successful. Althought we spent a great deal of time exploring the island (mainly beaches but also other points of interest) requiering lots of driving on windy & narrow roads, we had also time enough to relax at the villa & in the pool. Especially the girls spent a lot of time floating in the pool on their matresses. Weather was just proper for us: sunny with temperature between 26-30C in the daytime. It even rained two times during our stay: the night we arrived & five drops on Myrtos beach later! Villa Krinos itself was perfect: it has everything what is needed for living & everything functioned perfectly! The view was stunning: You can see over 1600 m high Mt. Ainos & the Mediterranean simultaneously! Listening to early morning sounds was also something special that you can't hear anywhere in Finland at leat: cocks crowing here & there combined with clang of lamb bells in the bushes!

Superb!

Stayed in September 2008 with the family (excellent weather and significantly quieter than early Summer - if you can get the kids out of school!). Superb villa in an area yet to be fully developed but ideally situated for the Capital town and good beaches. We are no strangers to Kefalonia and can thoroughly recomend this villa. I doubt you will be disappointed. We will certainly be using it again in the future. Car hire is a must though, as it is not near a main resort. Stunning views of the mountain which reflected the setting sun, high flying buzzards, and not forgetting the mountain goats!
