A 10 minute walk leads you to the new town with its more modern boutiques and the local Friday market. Here too, you will find more restaurants and cocktail bars all serving the kind of mouth-watering freshly prepared dishes you would expect in the region. A short drive to the coast will lead you to a fantastic selection of seafood trattorias all with spectacular views. Nardo is located in between Salento's baroque capital, Lecce, and the port of Gallipolli and it is an ideal location to explore both the Ionian and the Adriatic coastlines. For those interested in a more active trip the international golf course {Acaya) is 30 minutes drive away and an incredible array of watersports can be found just 10 minutes away at Santa Caterina.
