Photos and Description of this Argeles-sur-Mer holiday chalet A self-catering property on a well maintained park.

The chalet is located on a pleasant residential park. The park features secure car-parking facilities and there are several shops at the front of the park including a launderette, a general store, a creperie and a pizza take-away. The communal swimming pool is 20m by 8m and is open from June 1st to 10th September. In the chalet the sliding patio doors open onto the patio and barbecue area making a spacious 'al fresco' area. Outdoor furniture including barbecue, table and chairs are provided.

Argeles sur Mer is ideally placed for exploring the wider area. The border with Spain is only 25kms away and places to visit include Figueres with its famous Dali museum and picturesque Cadaques. Perpignan will also reward you with its wide boulevards and excellent shopping facilities. Collioure is a gem of a town with its narrow streets full of artists studios and craft shops. Don't miss the opportunity to take the little train up into the mountains from here. The property is within easy walking distance to the resort, the port and village of Argeles with a wide choice of restaurants, shops and bars. The resort with its 7 kms of sandy beach is classified as a blue flag area for clean bathing. There are abundant facilities for children within the area including an aqua park, go-carting and an adventure park for children from 5 years to adult. Holidays outside of the main summer season can be particularly rewarding as time spent exploring the area can be more relaxed and carefree.

Ideally located for exploring the region

We stayed in the chalet for two weeks in September 2009. We were looking for a base from which to explore the immediate area and also take overnight trips to several of the breath-taking historic cities in the region. We found the chalet to be ideally located for this as well as meeting all of our our needs as a convenient, relaxing home base on our "days off". We appreciated that this holiday park is very quiet and the parking secure. Shopping, good restaurants and the beach are within a few minutes walk as is the charming old town of Argeles with all of its amenities. We also enjoyed the long flat beach and the corniche for vigorous walks or sunset strolls. The owner of the property was friendly, helpful and flexible and provided excellent directions and travel advice. The Manager of the property on-site was also very responsive to our needs. The "Welcome Pack" of breakfast supplies was a nice touch, too.

We have spent a very enjoyable week at this chalet in Argeles sur Mer. Before our visit all communications with the owner were handled in a personal, friendly yet professional manner.

The property was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the spacious patio at the end of the day sipping a glass of wine and planning our next day. We were able to park our car safely on site (there is a security fence around the site and admission is only available to residents) and explore the immediate area by foot or by using the 'little train'.
Argeles and the surrounding towns have plenty of attractions for all ages. For families the beaches are wide and very clean. Collioure lived up to all expectations and we enjoyed our visit to Perpignan.We will certainly return in the future and intend to explore the area to the west of Argeles (including Spain) We would have no hesitation in staying in this property again.
